Both the team playing this Caribbean Premier League match are already assured of their place in the league table. The Guyana Amazon Warriors are going to finish at the top of the table whatever happens and the Jamaica Tallawahs are going to finish dead last.
As one of the teams expected to do well in CPL 2019, the Jamaica Tallawahs have been a huge disappointment. Inconsistent performances, poor tactics, and some injuries have cot them heavily. Can they change things around with their last match of the season and prevent the Guyana Amazon Warriors from having an unprecedented perfect group stage record?
Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Tallawahs CPL 2019 is going to be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on the 3rd of October 2019.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors are returning to their home for the final match of the group stage and possible to celebrate a group stage record. Beating the Guyana Amazon Warriors is not easy anywhere but it is particularly tough in their home conditions.
They have a spin bowling attack that has been very difficult to get away this entire season.
While Imran Tahir is known the world over for his skill in the T20 format, Chris Green has been equally effective. Green opens the bowling very often and keeps a very tight line in the powerplays. Shoaib Malik has tended to chip in as the third spinner whenever needed although we feel that Guyana might opt for a third spinner at their home venue.
Ben Laughlin, Romario Shepherd, and Keemo Paul have all been quite good for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, although having a large total to defend on most occasions has been an obvious advantage for them.
Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hermaj, Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik, and Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, and Keemo Paul make up the deepest batting lineup in this entire competition.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors are in peak form and must fancy themselves against the misfiring Jamaica Tallawahs
Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Shoaib Malik, Keemo Paul, Nicholas Pooran, Christopher Green, Romario Shepherd, Qais Ahmad, Imran Tahir.
The Jamaica Tallawahs have managed to win just two out of their nine matches in CPL 2019. That is not something that we expected from a team with plenty of T20 superstars. These brilliant individuals, though, have not been able to come together and will be going through the motions just one more time.
We did not see Andre Russell in action in the last couple of matches and there is no update whether he is going to be available or not. At this point in time, we just have to assume that Andre Russell is not going to be playing.
Liton Das was drafted into the side in the previous match but did not have much of an impact. We are not sure if Liton Das deserved the kind of T20 reputation he seems to have. No doubt he is an aggressive batsman but his success rate is just too low to be taken seriously.
The onus of scoring the most of the runs and possible winning this match has to be on Chris Gayle, Glenn Phillips, and Dwayne Smith. Chadwick Walton has also regressed after starting the CPL pretty well and now he is being pushed down the order.
Imran Khan and Zahir Khan have been pretty good for the Jamaica Tallawahs with the ball but overall this is the weakest bowling attack in the entire league. Jerome Taylor was extremely expensive in the initial few matches and was dropped from the side.
The Jamaica Tallawahs have tried everyone else and now gone back to him to showcase the kind of troubles they have been having.
The Jamaica Tallawahs bowlers are up against a batting side in peak form and must do better than they have been to stand a chance of winning.
Chris Gayle, GD Phillips, Dwayne Smith, Liton Das, CAK Walton, TA Griffith, Imran Khan, Derval Green, Steven Jacobs, Oshane Thomas, Zahir Khan.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. Two out of the three matches played here in CPL 2019 have been won by the team batting first.

There is some rain around in Guyana on match day but it is expected to settle down around the time that the match is scheduled to start. The pitch at the Providence stadium has been slow and pretty helpful to the spinners.
There are some decent spinners on both sides although the home team has a slight edge in that department. Familiarity with the conditions and a knowledge of how to pace the inning here might be the bigger advantage, though.
Dream11 team for GAW vs JT is going to be focussed on the top-order batsmen and the spinner sin both sides. That has been the recipe for success in Providence and we think it will remain the same in this match as well.

We think it is going to take something truly spectacular for the Guyana Amazon Warriors to lose this game. The Jamaica Tallawahs are in a mess and are playing without any set plan. The Guyana Amazon Warriors should be able to win this quite easily by just doing what they have been so far in CPL 2019.
Bet on the Guyana Amazon Warriors to win.
