GAW vs JT Match Prediction - Sep 21, 2022

The Jamaica Tallawahs have slipped to third in the CPL 2022 standings with four wins from eight matches. The results depict quite accurately how the team has been inconsistent this season, brilliant on occasions and woeful on others. They will still be the firm favorites at all the cricket betting sites when they take the field against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Currently in last place with just one win from six matches, the Guyana Amazon Warriors have been disappointing, to say the least.

Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Tallawahs CPL 2022. The match will be played at Providence Stadium, Guyana on the 21st of September 2022.

GAW vs JT Team Previews

Guyana Amazon Warriors

The Guyana Amazon were rolled over for just 81 in their previous match. Despite having some very good and established T20 players in their lineups, the batting has just not been up to the mark. Shimron Hetmyer is out of form and big hitters down the order have not delivered either.

Players like Paul Stirling, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Odean Smith, and Romario Shepherd are all assets in the T20 format but in their current form, we are not very bullish on them.

The bowling attack for the Guyana Amazon Warriors is also one of the weakest that we have seen this season. It has struggled to keep runs or pick wickets. The surface in Guyana can be quite spin-friendly, though, and that is where Imran Tahir, Tabraiz Shamsi, and even Chandrapaul Hemrah can come in handy.

Jamaica Tallawahs

The Jamaica Tallawahs are undoubtedly the better batting lineup in current form. Brandon King and Rovman Powell are striking the ball well and scoring runs with a lot of consistency. Raymon Riefer and Amir Jangoo have also done well. The issue has been that when the batting lineup does well, it has done very well but on the occasions that it has not, it seems to collapse.

There is no middle-ground that the Tallawahs can find right now.

Having Imad Wasim and Chris Green in their lineup gives them depth but at the same time, it also gives them two quality spinners that can take advantage of a helpful surface (if it so appears). With Mohammad Amir bowling at his best, the Jamaica Tallawahs have all the weapons needed to succeed.

GAW vs JT Toss Prediction

The team that wins the toss is likely to want to field first. Knowing the target in front of you may not be a bad option unless the pitch is extremely dry and spin-friendly.

Pitch and Conditions

There is a bit of rain around Guyana but that is not unusual for the islands. There will hopefully not be too many interruptions in the game. The pitch at the Providence Stadium tends to be slow and spin-friendly. Don't expect too many high-scoring matches at this venue and something around 140 could be very hard to chase down.

GAW vs JT Betting Tips

We are going to bet on the Jamaica Tallawahs to win. The odds are a bit lower than what we would have liked, however, the Guyana Amazon Warriors just do not inspire any sort of confidence right now. Their batting is really struggling and even their spinners have underperformed. The Jamaica Tallawahs appear to be a better team in all aspects right now.
