GAW vs SNP Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Sep 08, 2019

The Guyana Amazon Warriors managed to start their Caribbean Premier League 2019 campaign with a win against the St. Lucia Zouks and are now going to be playing back to back matches in their home town of Guyana.
The first of these matches is against the St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots, a side that came close to beating the Trinbago Knight Riders but could not get over the line. The CPL is not a very long tournament and teams can have a tough time making a comeback after a poor start.
This is why the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be very keen to get their first points on the board. GAW vs SNP CPL 2019 is an evenly matched contest looking at the two squads and we are confident of getting another excellent match to witness.
Guyana Amazon Warriors vs St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots CPL 2019 is going to be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on the 7th of September 2019.
GAW vs SNP Team Previews
Guyana Amazon Warriors
None of the batsmen from the Guyana Amazon Warriors were able to really make an impact in their opening match but the team still managed to get a decent total on the board. Useful contributions from Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik, Keemo Paul, and Chris Green helped the side reach 155.
Their biggest name, Nicholas Pooran was out first ball while the dangerous Shaerfane Rutherford could not get too many runs either.
There is a lot of scope for improvement in the Guyana Amazon Warriors batting. We would love to see Pooran bat higher up the order but it looks like he is going to be wasted at five in this tournament. Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj are good batsmen but for them to be batting above the best young talent that the West Indies has is a bit strange to us.
Even Shoaib Malik is batting a position too high for the kind of impact that he has in T20 cricket nowadays.
A huge positive will be the performances of Keemo Paul and Chris Green down the order, something which should help give the management more confidence in the length of the batting.
Shadab Khan was brilliant in the bowling department and never looked like being picked by any batsman. Chris Green bowled well while Romario Shepherd also chipped in with two wickets. Overall, the Guyana Amazon Warriors would be pleased with their start to the tournament but know that there is a lot of room for improvement.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
The Patriots are going to be disappointed at not having made the most of their opportunities in the opening game. They had the defending champions on the mat several times but could not finish them off.
Now, another tough game against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in their home conditions looms ahead.
Sheldon Cottrell and Rayad Emrit were the standout bowlers for the side. They bowled well and took wickets at important intervals. Alzarri Joseph was a bit lucky to get his only wicket off an inside edge and would want to improve in the matches to follow.
Carlos Brathwaite and Mohammad Hafeez were very poor with the ball and could not contribute with the bat either. As two important all-rounders of the Patriots, both Brathwaite and Hafeez will need to lift their game rapidly.
We think the St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots have a major problem in their batting. Evin Lewis is the only real batting star in the side and it was pleasing to see him get a fluent 36 in the previous match. He must hope that Mohammad Hafeez or Jason Mohammad can strike form quickly otherwise all the onus of scoring runs is going to fall on him.
Mohammad Hafeez made 16 off 22 balls and was unable to hit a single boundary. That was a match-losing inning in a chase and the team management must make not of it.
Devon Thomas, Carlos Brathwaite, and Fabien Allen are the middle-order for the Patriots. There is plenty of power but not enough consistency we are afraid. Maybe sending Fabien Allen up the order is something that the Patriots could try to make the most of his fearless hitting abilities.
