Shoaib malik continues his brilliant form and top-scored with 71 before captaining the side astutely and using his spinners very well. Sherfane Rutherford also showed just why he is rated so highly in the Caribbean with a very good knock of 45.

The main strength of the Guyana Amazon Warriors has been its bowling. Imran Tahir, Chris Green, Qais Ahmed, Shoaib malik, and Chandrapaul Hemraj are all very decent spinners and give the skipper a lot of options.

We don’t think Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetkmyer, and Nicholas Pooran are going to be bundled out for next to nothing in any more matches. This is a very good opportunity for the batsmen to spend some time in the middle and get used to the surface on which they will be playing the qualifier just a couple of days later.

The defending champions of the CPL are losing momentum at the wrong time and are now in a must-win situation to get in the top-2. Halfway through the group stages, it looked like this top-2 position was locked up by the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Some interesting changes to the batting order ended up backfiring against the Tridents in their previous match. We hope to see the Trinbago Knight Riders back to their tried and trusted lineup in this match.

One of the things that the Knight Riders would want to do is to send Kieron Pollard up the order. The skipper of the side has taken the responsibility of batting on his shoulders and is the most impressive batsmen of the side alongside Lendl Simmons who is leading the charts for the runs scorers list right now.

Darren Bravo has also played a good recent inning but the other big names need to come to the party. Jimmy Neesham, Denesh Ramdin, and Colin Munro need to pull their weight in this crucial encounter.

The absence of Sunil Narine is going to hurt the Knight Riders in this match since the surface is very helpful to the spinners. In his absence, Khary Pierre is going to be the biggest threat to the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The likes of Chris Jordan, James Neesham, Javon Searles, and Kieron Pollard all help form a very good bowling attack as well.
