Ghani Institute of Cricket have already played a match in the tournament and will be out in a bid to score their first win of the tournament here. They had a terrible outing first-up as they lost their opening match by a towering margin. Batting first, they were bundled out for a total of just 85 runs while chasing 202 runs. It was a difficult day for them in both departments and they would want to make amends here. 

 

 

 

On paper, GIC have a rather inexperienced side that hasn’t done as well as they would have wanted. While they have talented players available, the lack of exposure means that they are prone to crack in high-pressure situations and that is exactly what happened in their previous contest as well. They are right at the bottom of the ladder in this tri-series and will need to register a win here to stay relevant. They will need to play out of their skins and if they can do that, getting past them could prove to be rather difficult.

Malaysian Crescents

Just like GIC, Malaysian Crescents are coming off a loss from their previous match and will be looking to get off the mark. Having said that, they did give a much tougher fight to Malaysian Stars and will want to use confidence from that game. Batting first, they managed a total of 199 runs, which was eventually chased down pretty easily by the Stars. The Stars, at one time, found themselves in a spot of bother though - having lost six wickets in total. 

 

 

 

On paper, Malaysian Crescents have a decent balance of batting and bowling. While bowling certainly is their stronger suit, they have a good batting lineup too. With experience available in the order as well, they are expected to do well here. If they can play to their potential, getting past them could prove to be a considerably big challenge for Ghani Institute of Cricket.
