Glamorgan have won two matches out of four and they go into the match against Gloucestershire on 27th July 2018 on the back of a disappointing loss against Sussex Sharks. These are still early days in the tournament with Glamorgan still having ten games to play. Gloucestershire, on the other hand, are placed second in the points table and another win here will put them in the position to dictate terms. A loss for them will put them at par with Glamorgan with three wins in as five matches.
Gloucestershire are having a good time in this season. They complemented their excellent run in Vitality T20 Blast with a crunch win against Durham in the championship game. They now once again turn to the shortest version of the game in order to resume their winning run.
Gloucestershire have seven points in five games and their last game ended in a no result, thanks to the relentless rain. Besides that, they've lost only one game which was in the earlier part of the tournament.
They registered a win in a close contest against Kent in their last to the last match while their last match, against Somerset, was more of a one-sided affair. Bowlers did a stupendous job for them to restrict Somerset to just 114 in a rain-curtailed match. They chased it down in just over 10 overs with a swashbuckling knock from Corey Anderson. All in all, they do not have any big-in-stature player at their disposal which is both positive and negative for them. So far, it has worked well for them, thanks to the team effort, and they'd need to keep that in continuation to maintain their stronghold in the top half of the table.

Glamorgan have won four games out of the five in their visit to Gloucestershire, albeit those matches were in Bristol. Michael Hogan has played a vital role for them and his performance will once again be very crucial as he approaches 100-wickets landmark in all T20 cricket. He's just 3 wickets away from the milestone.
Their last cricketing encounter against Sussex turned out to be pretty disappointing for them as they failed to score even a 100 runs in any of their innings. Against Somerset, in their last T20 Blast match, they didn't perform up to the standards and lost the match by a considerable margin of 30 runs.
Usman Khawaja played a good knock of 44 runs consuming 31 deliveries, but no support from any other batsmen left them 30 runs short of 190. Earlier, their bowlers were carted to all parts of the ground with both Salter and Meschede being expensive up front. They together conceded 77 runs in their 7 overs with runs coming in both powerplay and death overs. Hogan and Tim van de Gugten were impressive as they returned with the figures of 4-0-26-2 and 4-0-36-2 in their respective spells. Glamorgan have overall done well in the tournament, but their last two performances have been subpar. They have an explosive top-order with Khawaja and Ingram and would need them to fire big time to topple the in-form Gloucestershire.
Usman Khawaja, Joe Burns , Colin Ingram, Aneurin Donald, Chris Cooke, Kiran Carlson, Graham Wagg, Ruaidhri Smith, Andrew Salter, Timm van der Gugten, Michael Hogan.
Gloucestershire have been one of the better teams in the tournament so far and much of the workload has been taken care of by their experienced domestic players. Glamorgan, on the other hand, have the exuberance of Usman Khawaja and Colin Ingram which they're heavily dependent on. Ingram has been in terrific touch in the tournament and other batsmen looked like getting their touch back in their last match. Considering that Glamorgan have done well at Gloucestershire and with a solid batting lineup consisting of Ingram and Khawaja, expect them to prevail over Gloucestershire in this important match.
