Gloucestershire and Worcestershire are going to be facing up against each other for the second time inside a week. The matches come thick and fast in the T20 Blast and teams have no time to rest on their laurels or lick their wounds. They have to be ready to fight another day.
Worcestershire was uttlerly demolished by Gloucestershire in the previous match and would be keen for some revenge. At the time of this writing, Worcestershire has not won a single match although it would have played a match against Somerset by the time this match comes around as well.
Gloucestershire has two wins in a row coming into this game and will want a repeat of its performance last time.
Gloucestershire vs Worcestershire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at the County Ground, Bristol on the 4th of September 2020.
Miles Hammond and Ian Cockbain showed just why they are rated so highly in English domestic circles as they smashed Warwickshire to all parts of the ground in the previous match. That was a rain-curtailed encounter to just 12 overs a side. Gloucestershire managed to get 157 for the loss of three wickets as Cockbain remained not out on 84.
These are staggering numbers and the result was never in any doubt after such a performance.
The batting for Gloucestershire has been very good so far and there is no reason why they cannot put together another strong batting performance.
Miles Hammon Ian Cockbain, Ryan Higgins, and Jack Taylor are all good batsmen giving Gloucestershire a nice amount of batting depth.
Tom Smith ended up with five wickets to his name, although, he would be the first to admit that the scoreboard pressure had a huge role in him getting those wickets. Graeme van Buuren, David Payne, and Ryan Higgins round out a decent bowling lineup.

It has been a tough few matches in the T20 Blast 2020 edition for Worcestershire. They are without Moeen Ali, their best batsman, and Patrick Brown, their best bowler, has been leaking runs profusely. This means that the balance of the side is upset and the team is finding it hard to stitch together periods of play where they are dominant.
A lack of wicket-takers in their lineup is perhaps the biggest concern right now. Worcestershire is just not able to pick early wickets and that allows the opposition batsmen to score freely against them.
Dillon Pennington, Adam Finch, Daryl Mitchell, and Ross Whiteley are the other bowlers in this Worcestershire lineup. One of these bowlers needs to find form quickly otherwise Worcestershire is going to continue to struggle.
The batting for Worcestershire is decent even without the presence of Moeen Ali in that squad.
They have Hamish Rutherford, Rikki Wessels, and Jack Haynes at the top of the order while Brett D’Oliviera and Ross Whiteley are the power hitters in the middle. The batsmen have been getting starts but have been unable to convert that into wins so far.
The batting is perhaps where Worcestershire can hope to get some match-winning performances from.
Hamish Rutherford, Riki Wessels, Jack Haynes, Jake Libby, Brett D Oliveira, Ben Cox, Ross Whiteley, Ed Barnard, Patrick Brown, Dillon Pennington, Adam Finch.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. The pitch is not going to change much and the toss should not have much relevance to the outcome of the match.

There is some light rain predicted on the morning of the match but that should hopefully disappear by the time play is about to begin. The pitch at Bristol is batting and we had over 350 runs scored their the previous time a T20 was played there.
Both teams have a batting attack which should enjoy the flat surface and the small boundaries. A score of 180 should be the minimum that teams are looking for batting first on the surface.
We think Worcestershire has the batting to be able to cause an upset or two in this series and this is a venue that should suit them. We are willing to go against the grain here and back he underdog in this contest. It is a risk considering the recent form of the Gloucestershire batsmen but we don’t thin the difference between these two sides is too much. Take the better odds on offer.
Bet on Worcestershire to win.
