Gujarat Giants are sitting pretty at the moment but they still would not want to take things for granted. They are in the driver's seat to qualify for the next round but a loss here can certainly dent their chances, especially given how tight things look on the points table at the moment.

 

As it currently stands on the ladder, the Giants are placed at the second spot on the ladder with two wins and one loss. They have a pretty good net run-rate as well and that would prove to be a distinguishing factor if it comes to that. A win here will reserve themselves a slot in the playoffs but a loss here will render the points table wide open.

 

They are coming off a loss at the hands of India Capitals in their recent match and will be desperate to get back to winning ways. They have been a tad too inconsistent and will want to get things sorted before the knockout round. If they can get their best out in their match, Bhilwara Kings should have their work cut out.

Bhilwara Kings

Bhilwara Kings haven't really had the kind of tournament they would have wanted but they are still pretty much in business. A win here will bring them back into the contention whereas a loss would probably mean curtains on their campaign.

 

As it currently stands on the points table, they are languishing at the bottom of the table with just one win from four matches. They have won one and lost two with one of their matches being washed out due to rain. In addition to that, they have a poor net run-rate of -1.258, which could prove to be a deterrent should things get tight towards the end.

 

Bhilwara Kings are coming off a close loss at the hands of Manipal Tigers and will be itching to bounce back. After scoring a win early in their campaign over the Tigers, the Kings have been rather unsuccessful. They were pretty good against the Tigers in their most recent match but failed to complete the chase. Chasing a total of 175, they ended up losing the match by a margin of just three runs.

 

On paper, the Kings have a pretty good side with good depth available in the batting. Their top-order though hasn't been contributing as much as they are needed to be. With the likes of Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan contributing lower down the order though, they have managed enough with the bat. They wil need to do a lot more going forward and if they can do that, getting past them could prove to be a really difficult task.
