It’s pretty surprising that despite doing pretty well in the tournament, Guyana still have to rely on the result of this final league game to ensure their progression. Although they can qualify even if they end up losing this match, they will not have their fate in their own hands. They are, at the moment, placed pretty at the second spot on the ladder and will be looking for a win here. Alongside the second place, they have a decent enough net run-rate of -0.010, which is a lot better than two of the three other sides. 

 

 

 

Guyana are coming into this game on the back of a pretty poor outing against Trinidad and Tobago and will be desperate to bounce back. Their batting failed miserably in their previous game as their batsmen managed to put up a total of just 181 runs on the board. It eventually proved to be a cakewalk for Trinidad and Tobago as they chased the total down with plenty of resources to spare. 

 

 

 

Given that Guyana have done pretty well apart from their previous loss should give them confidence to do well here as well. They have a pretty good side on paper that would be itching to get out on the field and perform. Considering that - if they play well in this upcoming match, getting past them could prove to be a pretty challenging task, especially for the CC&C, who haven’t been doing well.

Not only Combined Campuses and Colleges have not done well in the tournament so far, they have been utterly discarded given the performances they put in. They have not been able to register even one win from a total of five matches they have featured in. The only couple of points they have is because of the no-result they scored earlier in the competition. 

 

 

 

While they have plenty of talented players available at their disposal, the lack of experience has done them in up until now. They have failed to even compete with the other sides in the group and will need something special to get a win here. While a win is going to be inconsequential as far as the qualification scenarios are concerned, it would instill plenty of confidence. They can take advantage of Guyana, who could be a bit vulnerable, and if they are able to play to their potential here, getting past them is going to be exceedingly difficult.
