HAM vs MID Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Jun 28, 2021
Hampshire and Middlesex sit right at the bottom of the South Group standings at the moment. These two teams have won just one match each in the Vitality T20 Blast 2021 edition so far. While Middlesex has suffered six losses, the most for any team in the entire tournament, Hampshire has suffered four (two matches were rained out).
A win in this match is not going to drastically alter the position of either team but it could be crucial in helping prevent the wooden spoon.

HAM vs MID Team Previews
Hampshire
We felt Hampshire let go of an excellent winning opportunity in its previous match against Somerset. Colin de Grandhomme played a superb all-around role to give his team a real chance but the other players could not step up and perform to the level required.
De Grandhomme, Currie, and Mason Carne bowled well and helped put some pressure on Somerset. They will fancy their chances against Middlesex as well. The presence of Colin de Grandhomme has also added some much needed power to the batting lineup.
He scored 66 from 34 balls and showed how dangerous he can be. Darcy Short, James Vince, and Joe Weatherley are the other batsmen that will be expected to score runs as well against Middlesex. We think Darcy Short and James Vince will be able to play a lot more freely now that de Grandhomme has bolstered the bowling attack.

Middlesex
Steve Eskinazi and Daryl Mitchell played very well in the previous match to help rescue Middlesex from a poor start and enabled it to get to a competitive score. Their innings helped paper over some cracks in the batting, though, and we think this is going to be its biggest weakness against Hampshire as well.
Nathan Sowter is probably the Middlesex bowler that is in the best form but he is not going to win you too many matches alone. The lack of wickets for Steven Finn this season has hurt Middlesex quite a bit. Chris Green, Tom Helm, and Blake Green are the other bowlers that are going to be a aprt of the bowling attack.

Pitch and Conditions
The conditions are expected to be a bit wet in Southampton on match day and we may have some interruptions. The weather is going to be a bit mixed but the pitch should be good for batting. We saw that there was some bounce and pace in the surface when England played Sri Lanka and the same can be expected for this match as well.
A score of around 160-170 is going to be competitive in this match.
HAM vs MID Betting Tips
We are going to back Hampshire to win this match. It has a stronger batting lineup and its bowling is also better than Middlesex. The form of both teams is poor, however, recent performances point to an upward trajectory for Hampshire.
Bet on Hampshire to win.
