The Hubli Tigers were given a batting master class by Manish Pandey in the previous match as he scored 102 not out off just 50 balls and smashed the ball all over the park. It helped set the Hubli Tigers a target of 181, not an easy task by any standards.
The Hubli Tigers, though, responded in the best way possible and put in their best batting performance so far.
Mohammad Taha top-scored with 75 from just 55 balls with five sixes to his name and every other batsman also contributed. The Hubli Tigers ended up chasing down the target with just one ball to spare. It was an exhilarating victory that would have given the Tigers a lot of confidence.
The team must now hope that players such as Luvnith Sisodia, Shishir Bhavane, KB Pawan, and Praveen Dubey are able to contribute in a more consistent fashion moving forward.
The bowling is a big concern for the Hubli Tigers. Vinay Kumar, their most senior bowler, went for close to 50 runs in his four overs. Mitrakanth Yadav, Vidyadhar Patil, and Aditya Somanna are some of the players that can be expected to put up a better show in the coming matches.

We are concerned about the dependence of the Bijapur Bulls on Bharath Chipli. He cannot be expected to score runs in every single game, although, that is pretty much what he has been doing so far.
If he falls early, then the Bijapur Bulls might struggle.
Players like Raju Bhatkal and G Chiranjeevi will have to ensure they are contributing in a meaningful manner as well.
Prateek Jain and Naveen MG have been the best bowlers for the Bijapur Bulls. They would love to see KC Cariappa get back into wicket-taking form because he has been dismal this season up until now. The defending champions of the KPl had a slow start to the season last year also but roared into form at just the right time.
