Bangladesh’s tour to India 2019 has got off to the best start possible. Shaken by the sudden ban on its best player, Bangladesh responded with a confident win against India in the opening T20 of the series. It now has a chance to seal a historic series win by winning this next match.
India has no room for error and must take a hard look at its patchy performance in the previous match. The home side has a lot of work to do in T20 cricket but we can expect a better-prepared effort at Rajkot.
There is the threat of cyclonic rains overhanging this match but as of now, the weather forecast is pretty favorable. Bangladesh has shown that it is not going to be a pushover and we are sure the fans will flock in to see a real contest.
India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20 2019 is going to be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on the 7th of November 2019.
India lost the opening match of this series after a very poor performance but it was not a one-sided match at all. Up until the last couple of overs when Mushfiqur Rahim took over, India had a very good chance of winning this match. The dropped catch of Mushfiqur Rahim, as well as the decision not to review an LBW call against him, turned out to be the turning points of the match.
It will be interesting to see if India makes a change in its playing eleven for this upcoming match.
Rohit Sharma likes to keep a stable side whenever he is captain and this is why we think India may just decide to go in with the same team.
The one change we may see happening is an additional batsman like Manish Pandey or Sanju Samson in place of Shivam Dube.
India’s strong batting lineup failed to capitalize on some decent starts and it was only through some impressive late-order hitting from Krunal Pandya and Washington Sundar that a par-score was reached.
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Lokesh Rahul all looked good before getting out. This is not a common occurrence and we don’t see it happening too often against Bangladesh.
Rishabh Pant also played a decent hand under pressure but he did not look as fluent as he usually does.
India’s seam bowling department looked a bit underwhelming in the first match. Deepak Chahar needs some movement with the new ball otherwise he seems to come on to the bat very nicely. Similarly, Khaleel Ahmed started to become predictable with his slower-cutters towards the end and lacked penetration with the new ball.
The spinner brought India back in the game, particularly Yuzvendra Chahal, who was outstanding in his four overs. Washington Sundar and Krunal Pandya also kept things tight but will need to do more in the upcoming games.
Shardul Thakur and Rahul Chahar are both excellent options on the bench to choose from for Rohit Sharma to change things up a bit as well.

The first victory for Bangladesh in T20 cricket against India after nine matches had some nervy moments but for the most part, the Bangla Tigers were in the lead. They never let India’s batsmen get away and kept pace with the requires run-rate during their chase as well.
Mushfiqur Rahim was brilliant in the chase and ensured there were no hiccups this time around. There have been more than a couple of occasions when Bangladesh came close to beating India but faltered and this win would have made every single player in their side very proud.
The work is not over, though.
Bangladesh still has a series to win and that is not going to be easy.
Rajkot is traditionally a very flat pitch where the Indian batsmen can come into their own. The pressure will be on the Bangladeshi bowlers to continue their good showing. We thought that Aminul Islam and Atif Hossain were the two best bowlers for Bangladesh on the night.
What was very impressive was that Bangladesh used a total of eight bowlers in the previous match. That ensured that Mahmudullah always had flexibility when it came to bowling choices or individual matchups.
If Shaiful Islam, Al Amin Hossain, and Mustafizur Rahman can pick up some early wickets then India is going to be under pressure again. The matchup of Aminul Islam and Rohit Sharma is also going to be an interesting one considering the fact that Rohit seems to get out to leg-spinners quite often but scores quickly against them as long as he is at the crease.
Liton Das was the only batsman to get out cheaply in the first match and as an aggressive opening batsman, that is something you have to be used to. Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar may have seemed to be a bit slow but they were doing what was required of them.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah finished off the chase in style.
Bangladesh’s batting can be quite unpredictable and maintaining this momentum is going to be key. With several all-rounders also in the lineup, on paper, the Bangladesh batting looks quite long but a little weak in the power-hitting department.
Liton Das, Mohammad Naim, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain.
The team winning the toss is likely to want to field first with the threat of rain around. The conditions are expected to remain the same for both teams and so losing the toss is not a big deal.

The weather is going to be the biggest concern when it comes to the next match. Cyclonic disturbances off the western coast of India may end up playing spoilsport. As of now, though, the forecast is for a cloudy day with about 20% chance of rain. The groundsman was also very confident of a match being played out even if rain caused some delays.
The pitch at Rajkot is flat and excellent for batting. There have been two T20 internationals played here and the average first inning total is 198. The boundaries are long and will bring the spinners into play. The pitch will continue to be good for batting throughout the match.
Dream11 team and Dream11 prediction for India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20 will have to take the possibility of rain into account as well. In such situations, we typically look for players that bat at the top of the order or are likely to be promoted as well as bowlers that are likely to pick wickets. We also think that India might play Rahul Chahar in this match looking at the success that Yuizvendra Chahal had in the previous match. Bangladesh is likely to go in with an unchanged team after its brilliant win in the first match.

India may have lost the previous match but it is going to be very hard to stop in Rajkot. Excellent batting conditions, big boundaries which will favor their spinners as well as their power-hitters, and knowing they must win to keep the series alive will fire the Indians up.
Only the rain has the potential to be the spanner in the works.
Bet on India to win.
