BCCI's plan to introduce day-night test in India may be just three weeks old, the day-night has already seen a lot of light in other countries. Having said that, the second test of the series between India and Bangladesh is nothing short of a festival for Indian as well as the Bangladesh fans alike. The first four days of the test match, which is set to begin on the afternoon of 22nd November, are already sold out and the tickets being sold at a premium. The upcoming match is historic on many accounts. First and foremost, this will be the first day-night test ever to be played in India and second it will provide a realistic opportunity for Bangladesh to do well. India have been fantastic in the test cricket in recent times, but the inexperince of playing with the pink ball could come in to bite them as well.
Not a lot has changed for India since the beginning of the test series. They are still sitting at the top of the Test championship table, only stronger. Their fast bowling is looking lethal and they have five batsmen among the top eleven batsmen in the world as per the ICC rankings for the test batsmen.
India got better of Bangladesh in the first test inside the first three days and considering the kind of victory that was, Bangladesh will be deflated. Winning test matches is good, but winning matches with a margin of an innings and more in another thing. India registered their tenth innings win under the leadership of Virat Kohli and will be looking for another one when they take on the Tigers in the upcoming fixture.
In the last match, India once against showcased its strength and depth with the bat they cruised to a total of 493 despite being in a spot of bother with Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Virat Kohli back in the pavilion. Mayank Agarwal and Ajinkya Rahane not only bailed them out of trouble, but also put India in a driving seat, before Jadeja batted Bangladesh out of the contest with his quick-fire half-century.
V Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, WP Saha, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, I Sharma.
Bangladesh are without a couple of their regular players and the inexperience clearly reflected in their performance. Batting first on an excellent batting surface, Bangladesh lost important wickets and just when they were looking to rebuild, another set of wickets triggered a collapse from which they could never recover and were eventually dismissed for 150 runs.
They had a brilliant start with the ball with Abu Jayed picking up three crucial wickets, but that was all. They failed to put any pressure whatsoever on Indian batsmen and conceded a lead that they were unable to eclipse even in the second innings.
While Bangladesh are certainly the weaker of the two sides, playing under lights - with the pink ball could provide them with an opportunity to challenge India, provided toss goes their way. Having said that, this Bangladesh side would have to play out of their skins to challenge India, let alone win the historic test match.
Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Liton Das, Naeem Hasan, Abu Jayed, Al-Amin Hossain, Ebadat Hossain.

In the last seven year, India have been beaten just once in a home test match and it appears unlikely that it would happen again in near future. The excitement around this test is primarily due to the fact that it is the first day-night test ever to be played in India and both teams would love to do something substantial in this historic match. India are better between the two sides on all accounts and with weather expected to be favorable on all five days, betting on India's win will be the way to go.
