India was given a very rude shock by England as it realized that it has a lot of work left to do before the T20 World Cup in October. The difference in the preparation of the two teams was stark as England came out with its strongest team with an intent to make a statement.
India on the other hand decided to rest its best batsman of the format and has not picked it's two best fast bowlers at all.
A lot of changes will be needed ahead of the second match although the primary thing is going to be getting clarity in plans for India. England, on the other hand, will not want to change anything much and stick to the same plans.
India vs England 2nd T20 2021 is going to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on the 14th of March 2021.
India promised it was going to try and be more aggressive and we saw some of that in the manner that Virat Kohli approached his inning. The end result, though, left a lot to be desired and eventually caused India’s defeat.
We don’t think the idea behind India’s change in strategy is right. The game has moved on and teams need to be able to play attacking cricket throughout like the West Indian, New Zealand, and English teams have shown in recent times.
India’s decision to rest Rohit Sharma is very strange. They want to choose between KL Rahula and Shikhar Dhawan but with just five T20 internationals before the World Cup, surely they want to test their best eleven.
It remains to be seen whether Rohit comes back for this match or India sticks to its same combination.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishab Pant looked good before they were dismissed. Pant is in great form and could add the power needed in the middle order. Overall, though, every single Indian batsman struggled against the pace of the English bowlers.
India’s bowling was very poor also. Shardul Thakur, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, and Hardik Pandya are the three seam bowlers while Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, and Azar Patel are the spinners.
Neither seam bowler is fast and the spinners seemed to struggle against the England batsmen as well.
India had a poor game and looked short of ideas. It is not as bad a team as it appeared, however, it does have some serious flaws to iron out at the moment.

England could not have hoped for a better start to the T20 International series. They bowled brilliantly and basically won the game in the first half itself. The fact that all of its top-order got some time in the middle has to be a big plus as well.
England looked better than India in every aspect of the game and would want to keep the momentum going.
There is no doubt that England’s batsmen were helped with the dew coming in later and they could be tested more against the spinners if they bat first. Overall, though, England has the batting depth and strength needed to win against India.
Players like Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, and Jofra Archer did not get a chance to play at all. There is enough depth to allow England to keep taking the game to India’s bowlers and never let them settle even if they lose a few wickets in the process.
The real surprise was how effective England’s bowling was. Archer, Wood, and Jordan hurried India up with pace while Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, and Sam Curran were used smartly by Eoin Morgan in specific match-ups.
We do not see any reason why England will be less effective in this match with the ball unless it makes changes and tries out a number of new things.
Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan, BA Stokes, Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, AU Rashid.
Winning the toss should be seen as a big advantage in this series. The dew comes in later and makes batting easier. The spinners become less effective and even the ball seems to come on nicely to the bat.

Conditions in AHmedabad are going to be good for cricket weather-wise. There is no rain expected and the temperatures are going to be pretty comfortable as well. The pitch had some more bounce than expected in the first match. Black soil has been used for the T20 series in contrast to the red soil that was used for the test matches.
Players can expect a similar surface that has a decent amount of bounce, a good even pace, and something in it for every discipline to exploit.
A score of around 170 has to be the minimum that teams feel comfortable defending.

We are going to stick with England in this match. It showed itself to be a much better T20 team while India is intentionally playing with one hand tied behind its back. The fact that England is playing its strongest lineup, its superior bowling lineup and the power-hitting game of its batsmen all give it a big edge over the Indians.
Bet on England to win.
We think England showed beyond any reasonable doubt that it has more six-hitting prowess than this Indian team. Also, the fact that Rohit Sharma (the best six-hitter in India) may not be a part of the Indian lineup is a big boost to England’s chances of winning this bet. We think this is an excellent choice to put some money and almost double your stake.
There were a total of 10 sixes in the previous match even though none of India’s batsmen really got going. It is just going to take one batsman from either side to really get going and we think this tally will be easily passed. The boundaries are pretty small and we have two strong teams fighting against each other.
We like this bet even though this is a bit of a risk. There are so many spinners in the match on both sides and the batsmen are forced to take risks by stepping out to them. A small bet could pay off big time as the odds are very good.
