Most importantly, it showed that India's dominance at home will be tested by New Zealand and you cannot just expect the home team to turn up and win. Yes, India is still the clear favorite and all the best cricket betting sites have priced them accordingly but New Zealand has a lot to offer.

India
India's strength has been its batting lineup and we have seen the team cross 350 the last four times it has batted first. There is a clear attempt to bat aggressively throughout the inning, something that England has done so successfully for a number of years now.
In home conditions, you would always back the Indian batting against any team that they play. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli are the two obvious batters in terrific form with centuries in most of their recent matches. These would be the players that you want to back in this match as well. We also think Rohit Sharma's six-hitting spree is something to continue taking advantage of.
SKY and Ishan Kishan will get a longer run but with SKY yet to crack the ODI batting code and Ishan Kishan batting out of position, we would stay away from their markets.
Among the bowlers, Mohammad Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have been the standout bowlers. They almost always seem to pick up wickets and are always attacking the batters. We may see some of the bowling unit being rotated as per the conditions.
Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar both played the previous match, possibly to elongate the batting lineup, but we would love to see Umran Malik back in the lineup as well.

New Zealand
New Zealand showed just why it is the number-one-ranked ODI team in the world right now. The match seems dead and buried at 131 for 6 chasing 350 but Michael Bracewell and Mitch Santner refused to give up. They played brilliantly in some tough conditions and kept taking the game to the Indians.
That is exactly what New Zealand must do. It has to take the game to India otherwise it will get eaten up alive in conditions that are not in its favor. New Zealand's bowling lineup was not the most effective in the previous match. Lockie Ferguson and Henry Shipley struggled to make any sort of impact and Blair Tickner was also quite expensive.
The pick of the bowlers were Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell, both of whom used the conditions to somewhat slow down the scoring rate. Santner's matchup with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is quite favorable so expect him to come on to bowl whenever these two are at the crease.
Tom Latham, Glenn Phillips, and Daryl Mitchell all give New Zealand a lot of flexibility and make it a very dangerous team. We don't think New Zealand has any glaring weaknesses but just that it is up against a behemoth at home right now.

The team that wins the toss may want to field first. This is the first international match being played in Raipur but the chasing team has had an advantage in the IPL matches played here in the past. Those matches were a fair while ago so that must be taken into account as well.

Pitch and Conditions
There is no rain predicted in Raipur during the match. The temperatures should be in their mid to late twenties and so quite comfortable to play in. The pitch in Raipur has been a bit slow in the past. No team managed to score 200 here while playing in the IPL but as we said, the most recent match was 7 years ago and so the pitch may have changed.
We expect a better batting surface but one where the spinners will get some help. A score of around 300 could be match winning.

India has continued its recent dominance at home and with the surface in Raipur expected to be a bit slow and helpful for the spinners, we think India has a great chance of wrapping up another ODI series win. New Zealand has the players to give India a fight but in the end, we just think India has more quality and is very tough to defeat in home conditions.
