The rained out T20 in the first match means that the T20 series is still alive heading into the third T20 between India and Sri Lanka. India cannot lose the series anymore but Sri Lanka can prevent it from winning it.
The second T20 was dominated by India in every aspect of the game. In fact, India also made a conscious effort to try its youngsters in demanding situations, something we can expect to continue in this series moving forward.
Sri Lanka’s young T20 lineup failed to execute on its promise. We have seen the best of this side in Pakistan but it still has to work in terms of consistency. Equaling the series against India is not going to be easy but Sri Lanka must believe itself and play fearlessly to have a chance.
India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20 2020 is going to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on the 10th of January 2020.
India won the first match because of a dominant bowling performance which restricted the Sri Lankans to a massively below-par total in Indore. Jasprit Bumrah was a bit rusty on his return but Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur were absolutely on the money.
In fact, Navdeep Saini broke the 150 km/h barrier in the previous match and improved his chances of making the T20 World Cup squad immensely. Virat Kohli loves to have genuine pace at his disposal and would be pleased with what he saw in Saini.
Kuldeep Yadav was a bit expensive and seemed a bit shaky but he did manage to pick up a couple of wickets. We would love to Yuzvendra Chahal get a chance in this series as well because he appears to hold up better under pressure.
Lokesh Rahul batted fluently to knock the life out of the Sri Lankan defense while Shikhar Dhawan took his time and eased back into the scheme of things. It was good to see Shreyas Iyer bat at number three and play a mature knock.
He could be one of the batsmen that receive more opportunities in the time to come as India gets ready for the T20 World Cup.
Rishab Pant and Shivam Dube are two other batters that can expect a promotion if India bats first in the third T20 against Sri Lanka. Both the players are very aggressive and can be used while setting big targets.
Lokesh Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, V Kohli, Manish Pandey, SV Samson, Washington Sundar, SN Thakur, NA Saini, JJ Bumrah, YS Chahal.
The Sri Lankan batting was unable to cope with the Indian bowling in the second T20. Their batsmen struggled against some genuine pace and tried to be too attacking against Kuldeep Yadav. We expect the batsmen to come up with some better plans this time around.
A number of the Sri Lankan batsmen got starts and seemed to in good touch. Avishka Fernando at the top of the order looked completely at ease but fell against the run of play, Kusal Perera was set and hitting sixes when he tried to get a bit too adventurous and Oshada Fernando seemed to have the measure of the bowlers as well.
These starts will raise hopes for the Sri Lankans and they will want at least one of the batsmen to be able to score a big score in the match to come.
Isuru Udana has been ruled out of the final T20 and that will be a big blow to the Sri Lankans. Even though Isuru Udana did not do anything much in the second T20, he has become the death bowler of choice for Sri Lanka in recent matches.
Lasith Malinga was expensive and continued his history of being smashed around the park by the Indians. Lahiru Kumara, Dhanajaya de Silva, and Dasun Shanaka are all honest triers but they look a cut below the level needed for international cricket.
Sri Lanka does not have too many options at its disposal right now and this is why its bowling has been a problem for a long time now. We don’t see the Sri Lankan bowlers being able to do much damage against the Indian batsmen.
Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Perera, Oshada Fernando, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka, Lakshan Sandakan, Wanidu Hasaranga, Lasith Malinga, Lahiru Kumara.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

The weather is expected to be very good for batting in Pune but the pitch is a bit of a concern. There have been instances in the past when the pitch in Pune has been too dry and extremely helpful to the spinners. On other occasions, the groundsman has gone the other way completely and provided a wicket that has a lot of seam movement.
The world from the ground is that we can expect a surface with some grass on it but one that is inherently dry underneath.
That means some good batting conditions and increasing help for the spinners as the match progresses.
Dream11 tips and Dream11 prediction for India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20. There is a good chance that India is going to promote some of its younger batsmen once more. This is why we have included Rishab Pant and Shreyas Iyer in our side. Virat Kohli got a knock in the previous match and may not come out to bat until really needed and so we are skipping picking him altogether. Lokesh Rahul looked in good form while Shikhar Dhawan seemed to struggle. Similarly, Sri Lanka's batsmen offer some good value choices including Bhanuka Rajapaksa who could be the surprise package down the order.

India dominated Sri Lanka in the first match without ever breaking a sweat. It appears as if the onus is on giving the youngsters central roles rather than trying to win as easily as possible. This could provide some opportunities for the Sri Lankans whose batting lineup is pretty dangerous.
Overall, though, India is the clear team to back.
