The India Capitals side will be led by Gautam Gambhir. They ended up losing the first game of the competition but they won their second game against Bhilwara Kings. The last game was missed by Jacques Kallis but it looks as if he will be available for this game. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest all-rounders the world has ever seen. His presence on the side will be a huge boon to the team. There are some good former cricketers such as Ramdin and Gambhir available for the Delhi Capitals team this year. Capitals also boast of a strong bowling attack in Johnson, Tambe, Plunket, and Pankaj Singh. 

In the last 25 matches, he has played as a Legend, Kallis has scored 666 runs at an average of 35.05 and he has also picked up 12 wickets in the process. The British fast bowler Liam Plunket is relatively fresh from international cricket as he has just retired from his duties for English cricket. It is expected that he will lead the pace attack for India Capitals. In his last 22 appearances, he has picked up 25 wickets and has been bowling at an economy rate of 7.9. In his last five matches, Plunket has picked up 7 wickets at an average of 25.08.

Ashley Nurse is the batter to watch out for though. He has plundered 113 runs from a couple of games played in the competition with an average of 113.00 and with a terrific strike rate of 209.25. Soloman Mire has also had a great start to the competition scoring 91 runs with a batting strike rate of 185.71 and an average of 45.50. Liam Plunket has picked up 3 wickets from the 2 games with a strike rate of 10.00 and an economy rate of 7.60. Pravin Tambe has been the most successful bowler from either side picking up 5 wickets from the couple of matches he has participated in. He is bowling at an economy rate of 6.78 and a strike rate of 9.20.<br />  

Gujarat Giants

The Gujrat Giants team this year is being led by Virendra Sehwag. The Gujrat team boasts of a formidable batting line-up with players such as Kevin O'Brien, Bisla, Levi, and Sehwag himself completing the batting order. Their bowling attack will be handled by the likes of Perera, Dinda, and Swann. The Gujarat Giants batting order will be opened by Virendra Sehwag. The dashing batter will be looking to make early inroads in the opposition bowling attack. Sehwag has been in good touch in the Road Safety World Series and has scored 394 runs in 19 matches at an average of 21.80. He is scoring his runs at a strike rate of 145.38.

Mitchell McClenaghan is the leading fast bowler for Gujrat Giants. The former Mumbai Indians fast bowler is in terrific form this year in the domestic circuit. In the 29 games he has played he has picked up 30 wickets at an average of 26.30. He is bowling at an economy rate of 7.78. In his last 5 outings, the quickie has picked up 8 wickets. Kevin O'Brien has had a great start to the competition scoring 129 runs with a batting average of 64.50. He has scored these runs with a strike rate of 161.25.

Another batter that has done well for Gujrat is Parthiv Patel. He has scored just 58 runs in the couple of games he has played but he has scored these runs at an amazing strike rate of 193.33. Thisara Perera is the bowler to watch out for in the Gujarat Giants side. He has picked up 3 wickets from the couple of games he has participated in. He is also bowling with an excellent economy rate of 5.33 and a good strike rate of 12.00. Rayad Emrit has done a fabulous job for Gujrat Giants picking up 3 wickets while bowling at an economy rate of 6.00 and strike rate of 12.00.
