With multiple recently retired players being part of the team, they look a really formidable unit. As seen in the Road Safety series too, the Pathan brothers will hold the key for Indian Maharajas to do well here. They were fantastic in the tournament last time around and will be raring to this time too.

 

On paper, the Maharajas have pretty much all bases covered with batting as well as bowling looking well established. Virender Sehwag can cause massive damage at the top and they do have an explosive middle-order to build on top. With versatile all-rounders available too, India Maharajas bat deep, which can be a crucial advantage in crunch situations. If they are able to do play to their potential here, getting past them could prove to be ridiculously difficult.

World Giants

With best of teams coming into this team to form the World Giants, the Giants are certainly a no less team of paper. The likes of Shane Watson, Lendl Simmons, and Kevin O' Brien have retired recently and will still be pretty fit and raring to go. Also, they have extensive experience available right throughout and that can be a crucial factor going into this match.

 

All said, they do appear to be a little spin heavy as far as their bowling is concerned. A lot will depend on Muttiah Muralitharan for the Giants to keep Indian hard-hitters in check. If they are able to do that here in this match, they World Giants could prove to be too big a unit to deal with here in this match.
