Ireland and the Netherlands will be attempting to play a T20 match in this tri-series for the second time. Their first match was rained out without a ball being bowled. The Netherlands ran into an unstoppable Scotland side in its second match and by the time this match is played, Ireland would have played against Scotland as well.
Irrespective of what happens in that match, though, both teams will have to look for a win to try and improve their chances of making into the Ireland T20 Tri-Series 2019 finals.
Ireland vs Netherlands T20 match 2019 is going to be played at the Village, Dublin, on the 18th of September 2019.
Ireland has not been having the best of time in T20 cricket recently. It has consistently lost to the Netherlands, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh in this form of the game. Forget the fact that Ireland has test match status now because it does not mean a thing in the shortest format of the game.
This is also why Ireland is going to want to experiment with its playing eleven somewhat and try to build towards the T20 World Cup 2020.
The bowling is going to be led by Mark Adair, Stuart Thompson, Boyd Rankin, and Gareth Delany.
This is a decent bowling attack with Simi Singh and George Dockrell as the spin bowling options in the squad. Paul Stirling can also contribute very handily with the ball as required.
The batting is going to be the big challenge for the Irish players. They have found it difficult in this format to time their innings the proper way. They either attempt to score too quickly and lose their wickets or don’t end up scoring enough runs.
Contributions from Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, Kevin O Brien, and Gary Wilson have to be consistent enough to help turn Ireland into a potent T20 side.
GC Wilson, Mark Richard Adair, Andy Balbirnie, David Delany, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Kevin O'Brien, Harry Tector, SR Thompson, Lorcan Tucker, CA Young.
The Netherlands went down fighting against Scotland in their previous match even though they were chasing a nearly impossible target. Pieter Seelaar scored 96 not out from just 49 deliveries to help Netherlands reach 194 but they still ended up losing by 58 runs.
The easy target after that match is going to be the bowling. Fred Klaassen was the only bowler that went for less than ten runs an over and every other bowler was put to the sword. It was just one of those days where the batsmen held all the cards and made the bowlers pay.
We would not look too deeply into any of those performances and hope that Netherlands sticks to the same side as the previous match. Ireland is not a very dangerous side in T20 cricket and does not have the explosive power that Scotland does.
Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren, and Shane SNater should be able to put up a better show against Ireland.
It was disappointing to see Netherland’s top-3 batsmen fall without contributing too much to the total and they will want to rectify that. Max O Dowd, Ben Cooper, and Tobias Visee are pretty decent batsmen at this level of the game and are capable of scoring enough runs to win.
The lack of depth in the side when it comes to the batting department, as well as the absence of power hitters in the middle order, is something that is going to hurt the Netherlands in this format of the game.
Pieter Seelaar, Philippe Boissevain, Tobias Visee, Scott Edwards, Bas de Leede, Fred Klaassen, Tonny Staal, Brandon Glover, Max O'Dowd, Ben Cooper, Shane Snater.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first on a beautiful batting surface

Ireland vs Netherlands T20 match 2019 is going to be played at the Village, Dublin, on the 18th of September 2019.
An excellent day for cricket has been forecast on match day. Sunny skies and very few clouds in sight are predicted which means we should get a full game in without any interruptions.
The pitch in Dublin has been good for batting and the boundaries are pretty small as well. All of this adds up to plenty of runs being scored in this match as well. A score of around 170 should be considered par for the course.
Dream11 team and Dream11 Prediction for Ireland vs Netherlands T20 match. Both teams have batsmen in good form and the pitch is favoring plenty of runs so we have stacked our team with as many top-order batters as possible.
We think that Ireland and Netherlands are pretty evenly matched when it comes to T20 cricket. Perhaps having home advantage, as well as players like Paul Stirling available, give Ireland a small edge but nothing that cannot be overturned. Stick with the home side but be ready to hedge your bets with in-play betting.
Bet on Ireland to win.
