While the triangular series between Scotland, Netherlands, and Ireland is not being followed as closely as a few of the other tournaments across the globe are, the popularity of the series is bound to increase in the coming days - primarily due to the superb knock of George Munsey in the second match of the series, against the Netherlands. Scotland will be oozing with confidence following their excellent win and will be looking to get past Ireland, which is arguably going to be the toughest assignment for Scotland this series. Regardless of how the two teams take this game as we expect a hard-fought contest on Tuesday at the Village in Dublin.
Ireland can consider themselves a bit unlucky as the first match of the tournament was washed out due to inclement weather conditions. A win in the upcoming fixture, however, will put things back in place as far as Ireland are concerned.
With a win, they'll move to the top spot in the points table, but a loss here will leave them in a two-way tussle with the Netherlands. Ireland are playing at the home ground, in familiar conditions, which should be of considerable advantage.
While Ireland have included a few new faces for this tournament, the performance from their core of Kevin O'Brien, Andrew Balbirnie, Paul Stirling, and Gary Wilson is what will determine their fate in this game. They have a pretty good batting lineup with a couple of exceptional all-rounders in Mark Adair and Shane Getkate following a settled top-order. Also, they have a set of bowlers who are likely to enjoy bowling in these conditions. Beating them isn't going to be as easy for Scotland as it was to beat the Netherlands.
Andy Balbirnie, Kevin O'Brien, Harry Tector, SR Thompson, Gareth Delany, Mark Richard Adair, Lorcan Tucker, GC Wilson, WB Rankin, Shane Getkate, David Delany.
It was a night that belonged entirely to Kyle Coetzer and George Munsey as the duo hammered the Netherlands' bowlers to all parts of the ground in a high-scoring encounter. Scotland are now topping the table with four points to their name.
Batting first on a superb surface to bat on, the opening pair of George Munsey and Kyle Coetzer didn't allow the opportunity to slip as the pair combined to add 200 runs for the opening wicket coming in just over 15 overs.
Apart from their batting, which rallied mainly because of two superb innings, their bowling did pretty well too. Adrian Neill was brilliant up front and in the death overs as the Netherlands were reduced to 18 for three at one stage. While their bowlers were pretty good on the whole, their inability to contain counter-attacking innings from Seelar was well and truly apparent. If the Scots can improve in their bowling departments, they will be the most challenging team to face not only in the upcoming encounter but also in the ICC World T20 Qualifiers.
George Munsey, Kyle Coetzer, Michael Leask, Richie Berrington, Ollie Hairs, Calum MacLeod, Matthew Cross, Safyaan Sharif, MRJ Watt, Alasdair Evans, Hamza Tahir.

This match is vital for both the sides, albeit for different reasons. For Ireland, this is a chance to get to the top of the ladder and assert their dominance before the World T20 Qualifiers. A win for Scotland, however, will put them in a pretty good position to qualify for the finals. Comparing the two teams on paper, there's little to choose between the sides. Even though Ireland are playing at home, Scotland have the advantage of having a win behind them, and are, therefore, our pick to emerge on top in the upcoming fixture. Also, Scotland offer a pretty good return of 2.20, and betting on them can turn out to be really profitable.
