With the first match between Ireland and Zimbabwe washed out due to incessant rain and a comprehensive Irish win in the second match, Zimbabwe is left with all to play for in the third and final match of their tour. They've been the second-best side apart from one occasion throughout their European visit and would love to redeem a consolation win towards the end. Ireland, on the other hand, is flying high with five wins to their name on this tour. They are in a position from where they can no longer be defeated in the series. While it is likely that they may test a couple of youngsters in the upcoming fixture, they'd be desperate to win the next encounter and close the series on a happy note. The third and final match of the series will be played on 14th July at Bready Cricket Ground, Bready.
Chasing a decent total in the previous match, Ireland will be pretty relieved by the way their batsmen went about their business. This Irish side has been guilty of scoring too slowly too often in the fifty-over cricket, but the way Stirling took the game away from the Zimbabweans was refreshing, to say the least.
Earlier with the ball, the likes of Shane Getkate and Mark Adair did wonderfully well to pull Zimbabwe back and restrict them to a manageable total of 132 in 13 overs after rain played spoil-sport for the second time in this series. Mark Adair has been a fantastic find for the Irish management and considering his contributions in both departments of the game in recent past; he is likely to make a difference in the upcoming match as well.
All in all, Ireland have done beautifully in all the three departments of the game so far in the tournament. The credit also goes to their skipper and experienced bunch of players who have utilized the home conditions to perfection and will be looking to do the same in the final fixture of the series as well.
PR Stirling, Kevin O'Brien, GC Wilson, Lorcan Tucker, Gareth Delany, Shane Getkate, Mark Richard Adair, George Dockrell, Greg Thompson, Joshua Little, CA Young.
For Zimbabwe, it appears to be one of those times when nothing seems to be going for you. In their tours of Netherlands and Ireland so far, Zimbabwe has tried almost everything in their capacity only to win one out of eight completed matches. They've been able to take the game deep on many occasions, but have failed more often than not to close them out.
Brendan Taylor was their best batsmen during their stay in Netherlands whereas Craig Ervine and Sean Williams have been their mainstays in Irish conditions. However, apart from the ones mentioned above, we hardly saw anyone else contribution consistently, which is one of the main reasons for them emerging out as the second-best side in most matches.
Similarly, in the bowling department, it's only been the likes of Tendai Chatara and Kyle Jarvis who have picked up wickets or dried up runs when required. Although the addition of Ryan Burl in their lineup has provided them with the much-needed balance and firepower towards the end of their lineup, it's often proved to be too little too late.
Solomon Mire, Hamilton Masakadza, Craig Ervine, BRM Taylor, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burl, Richmond Mutumbami, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara, C Mpofu.

While Zimbabwe has easily been the second-best side in this bilateral series, the scoreline doesn't reflect the kind of contest we have seen in this series. Zimbabwe has given a tough fight to the hosts in more than a couple of matches before losing a couple of crunch moments and consequently the match. Ireland, on the other hand, has been clinical in all departments of the game and never relinquished the control of the game once they had it. The likes of Paul Stirling, Kevin O' Brien, and Mark Adair are in terrific form for them and will not be easy to contain. They also enjoy the home conditions and considering that along with the results of their past few matches, the hosts are better placed to win the upcoming fixture and seal the series 2-0.
