Jamaica lost its opening game, played against the Leeward Islands by quite a big margin. But they have since managed to get back to winning ways, as they beat Barbados in the last match. As a result, they are now 2nd in the points table. A win here will take them within striking distance of the summit.

Captain Rovman Powell played a knock of 80 runs in the last match, leading his team towards victory. He is also the top scorer for his team in terms of aggregate runs this season. Nkrumah Bonner is close behind. Much was expected of Brandon King this season, but he has failed to make any impact so far.

Odean Smith has been the pick of the bowlers with 6 wickets and has also shown the ability to swing the willow when needed. 

West Indies Emerging

Back in the Super50 fold after missing the last season, the Emerging Players have had a subdued start to their latest campaign. They have lost both their opening matches and as a result, sit at the bottom of Zone B points table.<br /> Kevin Wickham and Keagen Simmons, both have managed to get good starts, but have failed to convert them into big scores.

Teddy Bishop, who had played quite a few good innings in the U19 World Cup, fell for a duck in the opening match but did manage to get a score of 45. However, other than them, non of the batsmen have managed to make an impact so far.

Joshua Bishop, who was the leading wicket-taker for Barbados in the last season, has continued with his form and has already picked 5 wickets in 2 matches. Overall, the Emerging Players team hasn’t played up to its potential till now.
