JT vs SNP Match Prediction - Sep 14, 2022

The Jamaica Tallawahs will be hoping to win this match and stay close to the Barbados Royals at the top of the CPL 2022 standings while the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be keen to get their second win of the season. There is no doubt that the Tallawahs have shown more quality so far and are in a great position to qualify for the playoffs.

Things are not looking too good for the Patriots, but a Rashid Khan boost might be what they need to turn things around. The cricket betting sites have the Tallawahs as the favorite to win but not by as significant a margin as we expected.

JT vs SNP Team Previews

Jamaica Tallawahs

The Jamaica Tallawahs have been quite brilliant in CPL 2022 and even the couple of matches that they did lose were close ones. Their captain, Rovman Powell, has led from the front with 200 runs in five innings which included 15 sixes and 13 fours. Brandon King and Raymon Riefer are the two next highest-scorers for the Tallawahs.

While there have been some promising knocks from Kennar Lewis and Amir Jangoo, the depth in the batting lineup is questionable. The Tallwahs could struggle if King and Powell do not continue to score runs consistently.

With the ball, the real star of the show has been Mohammad Amir. He has been bowling quick, already has ten wickets to his name, and is the most economical of all the bowlers. Imad Wasim and Chris Green provide him with vital support.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

SNP would be very disappointed at the manner in which its leading players have played so far. Just one from six matches (two of which were rained out) puts SNP in a very difficult position to qualify. Only one of its batters has scored more than 100 runs in CPL 2022, Andre Fletcher, while all the rest have struggled.

Players like Evin Lewis, Dewald Brevis, Sherfane Rutherford, and Darren Bravo can all bat but they seem to be going through a real rut. You cannot ever rule out players of this quality but SNP certainly seems like a team that will struggle to make an impact this season.

The bowling lineup has not done too much better. Rashid Khan is available to play and his presence adds a massive amount of quality but players like Jansen, Dananjaya, Bravo, and Cottrell need to contribute as well.

SNP seems like a team that is struggling with big names from the past that are now well beyond their prime.

Pitch and Conditions

There is a lot of rain predicted in Trinidad on match day. The weather changes quickly on the islands, though, and we can still hope for some cricket. The pitch should be flat but on the slower side and end up helping the spinners. The rain could also make the outfield slower and there may not be as many runs to be had as you might expect.

JT vs SNP Betting Tips

We are going to bet on the Jamaica Tallawahs to win. They have a stronger batting lineup and more players that are in good form. The Patriots are dangerous but we don't think they have got their team combination right so far.
