Two sides with contrasting results in their last respective encounters will take on each other in an important game. Kabul Zwanan are coming on the back of a victory in their previous encounter whereas Nangarhar Leopards lost their last match against Balkh Legends. Kabul Zwanan currently occupy the top of the table spot and will look to take run away with a win in this game. Nangarhar Leopards, on the contrary, have now lost three in a row after winning their first match and are desperately searching for a win.
Hazratullah Zazai was extremely severe on the Nangarhar bowlers when the two teams met last time in this competition. The opening pair of Zazai and Ronchi appears to be pretty confident and with the likes of Colin Ingram, Laurie Evans, and Rashid Khan to come in next, Kabul Zwanan bat deep.
As has been the case with them in the tournament so far, Kabul's bowling has been over-reliant on Rashid Khan. Barring Rashid Khan in their last encounter, no bowler looked like taking wickets or stemming the flow of runs. The likes of Wayne Parnell, Muslim Musa, Fitrullah Khawari, and Fareed Ahmad will need to take more responsibility with the ball.
Overall, Kabul Zwanan have done exceedingly well in all the matches they've played despite their shortcomings with the ball. It has been a Rashid Khan show with the ball while the batsmen have done that extra bit to cover for their weak bowling lineup. Unless their bowling improves, their batsmen will have to take that extra bit of responsibility and given the way things have gone so far, it is pretty much possible.

It will be the second game for the Leopards in 24 hours and they'd need to forget the result of the game they played last night. Andre Russell, who was set to take over the captaincy from Ben Cutting, has flown back home due to a hamstring injury and will no longer be part of this edition of APL which is a big setback for the Leopards.
Bowling first against Balkh Legends, the Leopards didn't allow the likes of Chris Gayle and Colin Munro to start aggressively with Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Zahir Khan keeping things tight. Pressure maintained resulted in wickets for them. Although Balkh Legends recovered a bit to post a competitive total of 143, it was nonetheless a subpar total on an excellent batting surface.
Considering the firepower available at Leopards' disposal and the form Devcich was in, it should have been a walk in the park for the Leopards. Instead, they messed up a pretty straight-forward chase. Devchich, who played a valiant innings against Kabul in their last encounter, stood tall amidst the falling wickets with a well-made 48, but with no support from any other batsman, the Leopards fell 25 runs short the Legends' total.
J Charles, Anton Devcich, Imran Janat, Hashmatullah Shahidi, R Shah, Shafiqullah, Ben Cutting, MJ Mcclenaghan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen-ul-Haq, Zahir Khan.
Chasing has been the preferred decision for the captains after winning the toss in the tournament and we expect it to stay the same. The team winning the toss is expected to field first.
It's been an excellent surface to bat on at Sharjah in the tournament so far. Despite the afternoon heat, we haven't really seen the surface deteriorating much. It's a night game and dew is likely to make impact making chasing a little easier. The team batting first should be looking to get at least 180 runs on the board.
The two teams playing this match have completely contrasting strengths. Nangarhar Leopards have a bowling lineup which is arguably the best in the tournament whereas the batting of Kabul Zwanan has been second to none. Kabul's batting proved to the stronger of the two when the two teams met and considering the nature of the surface which is expected to be a batting paradise, Kabul Zwanan are expected to emerge on top yet again.
