Kent has a 100% record at this stage in the T20 Blast 2019 and has found a way to win from tough situations in both of its matches up until now. It is now going to be playing against Essex, a side that registered a fantastic victory in its previous match.
Cameron Delport played the inning of the tournament so far as he smashed a century off just 30 odd deliveries!
Does Kent have it in them to be able to beat Essex and continue its unbeaten run or will Essex find confidence from its performance in the previous match?
Kent vs Esses Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at St. Lawrence Ground, Canterbury on the 26th of July 2019.
Kent won its previous match against Hampshire in the last over with just two wickets in hand. It looked like for the most part that Kent had messed up the chase and would fall short but a brilliant inning from Alex Blake kept them in the game.
This has been the story of Kent’s season so far.
It is not a side that is crawling with T20 talent but it has managed to make the best use of its resources.
The batting is once again going to be led by Daniel Bell-Drummond, Zak Crawley, and Oliver Robinson with support from Mohammad Nabi, Alex Blake, and Sean Dickson in the middle.
This is not a batting lineup that is going to intimidate anyone but it does have enough in it to get the runs needed. We are looking at Bell-Drummond and Mohammad Nabi to make a telling contribution for Kent in this match.
As far as the bowling goes, Mohammad Nabi, Adam Milne, Hardus Viljoen, and Imran Qayyum have all been very good. Qayyum has a five-wicket haul to his name already while Adam Milne and Hardus Viljoen are always dependable during the death overs.
This bowling attack is going to ensure that Kent remains in the game no matter what the opposition.
Daniel Bell-Drummond, Zak Crawley, Ollie Robinson, Heino Kuhn, Mohammad Nabi, Alex Blake, JM Cox, Adam Milne, Hardus Viljoen, Imran Qayyum, Fred Klaassen.
Cameron Delport set the T20 Blast 2019 alive with his batting fireworks in the previous match. He was very difficult to stop and is going to be the main threat in this match as well. A man in the kind the of form that Cameron Delport is should try and maximize the runs during this time because the tide can shift quickly the other way as well.
With Varun Chopra, Tom Westley, Ryan Ten Doeschate, and Daniel Lawrence in the lineup, Essex is as strong a lineup if not stronger than Kent.
There is enough depth in this batting lineup to be able to keep going hard at the bowling without worrying about wickets too much.
Ravi Bopara may not be the player he was at his peak but he is still a good enough all-rounder to provide a finishing touch if needed.
The bowling for Essex is going to be dependent on Simon Harmer and Adam Zampa finding their line quickly. Both the spinners are very good at T20 cricket and it will take all of their skill to be able to keep the Kent batting at bay.
Shane Snater, Matthew Quinn, and Ravi Bopara are also pretty decent as well.
Essex is a better-rounded side than Kent and it will fancy itself in this contest.
C Delport, Varun Chopra, Tom Westley, RN ten Doeschate, Dan Lawrence, RS Bopara, Adam Wheater, SR Harmer, Shane Snater, Adam Zampa, Matthew Quinn.

Kent vs Essex T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at St. Lawrence Ground, Canterbury. There is some rain predicted in Canterbury early on match day bt it should clear up by the time the match is about to start. We don’t think there is going to be any trouble getting the full quota of overs in.
The pitch at St.Lawrence is good for batting but it always has a little something in it for the bowlers as well. We think the fast bowlers on both sides will find something to work with on this surface.
A score of about 170 should be considered par.
Kent is in good form but seems to be playing a bit above its potential right now. We think there is a good opportunity for Essex to win this match and move up the table. Essex has a good batting lineup but Kent has the better bowling. We think Essex should be able to win unless the pitch is very green and helpful for bowling.
Bet on Essex to win.
