Kent has been lucky to have got points from rained out matches against some of the toughest teams in the tournament and then made the most of its matches against the lesser teams. As a result, Kent is currently the top of the table and in an excellent position to push for a knockout spot. Kent will be taking on Gloucestershire, a side that has performed admirably well itself. Both sides have five wins from their matches so far and this top of the table clash promises to be a humdinger.
Having a player like Sam Billings available for the entire tournament has been a huge plus for Kent. Billings has been instrumental in getting Kent over the line and has been using the tactics learned playing T20 leagues across the world to good use. Has 218 runs from seven innings and has remained not out in four of them. He just appears to be hitting form and that is troublesome for all future opponents.
The senior Kent players like Denly, Bell-Drummond, and Kuhn have all also scored runs in the tournament so far leaving the Kent batting in a good place. Consider the fact that Marcus Stoinis is yet to hit stride in the tournament and Kent could have a really strong batting lineup to bank upon in the near future.
Stoinis may not have done that well in the batting but he picked up four wickets in the last match to underline his importance as an all-rounder. Adam Milne has been predictably good and Denly has been picking up wickets regularly as well.
The pair of Imran Qayyum and Haggett are also effective at keeping the pressure on the opposition batsmen giving a nice balance to the side. Kent is going through a purple phase and seems to have luck on its side as well.
Continuing this same kind of dominance might be difficult but the side definitely has the players to make a bid for the title this year.
Joe Denly, Daniel Bell-Drummond, Heino Kuhn, Sam Billings, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Blake, Sean Dickson, Calum Haggett, Adam Milne, Imran Qayyum, Ivan Thomas.
The Gloucestershire T20 side has been doing pretty well this season. Its batsmen have performed well as a unit and its bowling has some excellent T20 players to bank upon. Its last match was an agonizing two runs loss to Glamorgan which broke a run of five consecutive wins from its last five completed matches.
There are a number of players that have contributed to the success of Gloucestershire this season. Michael Klinger has 206 runs to his name, Higgins has 186, Taylor 195, Cockbain 151, and Hammond 157.
So many players getting runs has meant that no one player has dominated the run-scoring charts so far and that the depth in the side can be banked upon. Kent is a strong batting side and could set Gloucestershire a big target which will make the depth in the side very important.
The bowling for Gloucestershire is very good as well. Andrew Tye has been brilliant, picking up 10 wickets at an economy rate of 8.18< Smith, Higgins, and Payne have 9 wickets each, while Benny Howell has been good with his changes of pace.
We like the look of the Gloucestershire side. A lot of players have been doing well and one of them could break out and have a really good season. They seem to have the batting and bowling to really push Kent in this game.
MAH Hammond, M Klinger, IA Cockbain, Benny Howell, Ryan Higgins, KN Barnett, GH Roderick, GLV Buuren, AJ Tye, MD Taylor, DA Payne.

A clear day with no chance of rain has been forecast for match day. The pitch in Canterbury has been good for batting and we think the same will be on offer for this match as well. There is always a little bit of purchase for the spinners in Canterbury but nothing that should worry either side too much.
Expect the par score to be around 180.
Kent has lost to Gloucestershire in the last three T20 matches that they have played. Both teams are in good form and have a well balanced side. The depth in batting and bowling resources, though, gives the edge to Gloucestershire in this match.
Back Gloucestershire to win.
