Kent Suffered a five-wicket defeat in their last match against Sussex; They are currently placed at 7th in the south group with 9 points and will compete against Hampshire on Friday, who are placed at 4th position on the points table with 11 points. Hampshire did well in their last game against Glamorgan as they won the match convincingly by 8 wickets; they lost the game against Essex by 4 wickets but have done well to recover. Kent, on the other hand, lost their last match to Sussex but won against Hampshire when the two teams met the last time.

In their match against Kent, while chasing 159 runs, they fell short of 5 runs despite of some good partnerships.
Despite the mixed run so far, they have managed to stay at the top-half of the table; they will be eager to put up a better show here against Kent to improve their position.
