About the Match
Sorry for not updating the cricket betting tips page
more often, but things are hectic now come May. However, things are beginning to get clearer as we move towards the business end of this years IPL 6 tournament. Amidst the beautiful mountains of Dharamshala, Kings XI Punjab is set to take on Mumbai Indians on 18th May 2013. This match might be useless in context of the table just because KXIP is knocked out due to Sunrisers win and Mumbai Indians have already made it to the Qualifier 1. Regardless of anything, this game would be a formality to some, but excitement would be on its peak as it would be last game for Kings XI Punjab this season and Mumbai Indians would be looking to keep their momentum going.
Mumbai Indians are on a winning spree and would like to build on it before going to the qualifiers. Sachin might not play this game due to the hand injury he sustained in an earlier game. Mumbai has played phenomenally well at home and it would be a test of character and versatility away as well. Rohit Sharma has looked far more composed and settled since he has taken over as a captain. Aditya Tare played well in the last game and provided a flashy start to his side along with Glenn Maxwell. Mumbai is expected to retain the same side as previous game if Sachin does not get fit in time. Mumbai Indians have displayed their show at home and they’ve got the side to do it away as well.
Kings XI Punjab:
It has been a topsy-turvy road so far for KXIP. They’ve won some games and lost at crucial points too. Now they too are out of the tournament, this game would be played only for pride. They’ve gained some momentum in last few games and would be looking to carry it in and out of hills as well. Adam Gilchrist has played some good knocks after his comeback and Marsh is looking in good touch too. David Millers has been the man for them and is expected to deliver one final time. They have the home advantage and will be looking to utilize it to perfection.
Kings XI Punjab is surely knocked out of the tournament, but they have had ample support for them at their home stadium. Can they topple a team like Mumbai Indians? KXIP does have the potential and has done it in the past. Mumbai Indians would miss the home conditions while KXIP have played here and really enjoyed these conditions. The quick pitch would assist pacers from both the sides and Mumbai might go in with one extra quick bowler. Due to familiar home conditions and one match experience of playing here, I’d place my money on Kings XI Punjab.
