The Karachi Kings have struggled to get going so far and have managed to win just 1 of the 5 matches that they have played so far. As a result, they are 5th on the points table. With half of the season behind them, the Kings will be hoping to put up a better performance in the second round, starting from this match.
The opening pair of James Vince and Matthew Wade finally managed to give their team a good start in the last match, putting up an opening stand of 72 runs. The former scored a superb 75 of just 34 deliveries and will be looking to put up a similar performance here.
The team will depend on Shoaib Malik as well as Imad Wasim to score some runs in the middle order. Haider Ali has played just 1 good inning so far but has struggled in the rest of the matches while the form of all-rounder Ben Cutting remains a cause of concern too.
It is a similar story in the bowling department too, as none of the bowlers have been consistently able to trouble the opposition batsmen. Youngsters Akif Javed and Mohammad Umar have shown flashes of brilliance but will need to work on their line and length to improve their numbers, while the veterans Imran Tahir and Mohammad Amir are playing way below their potential.

Mohammad Rizwan has been in a belligerent mood this season, scoring 3 half-centuries and an excellent century in the 5 matches played so far, and is the top-scorer for his team. Shan Masood seemed to be struggling a bit at the start of the season but played scored a quick half-century in the last game, which should help him regain some confidence.
The team has some of the biggest hitters in white-ball cricket in the form of Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, and Kieron Pollard and that should allow them to score big totals on any ground. The young seamers, Ihsanullah and Abbas Afridi have done a brilliant job for the team, picking up 22 wickets between them.
