Knights
The Knights currently sit at the bottom of the points table after suffering heavy defeats in both its opening matches. With a terrible NRR, the team has no option but to collect as many points as possible from the next few matches to move up on the points table.
Captain Pite van Biljon, Raynard van Tonder, and Jacques Snyman were some of the top batsmen in the last season, but have failed to fire this time around. Much will depend on their form going forward if the Knights would be hoping to salvage their position.
Alfred Mothoa has played just once, but he bowled a good spell in the match against North West, while Migael Pretorius is the top wicket-taker in the squad with 5 wickets. However, other than these two, none of the bowlers have been able to have a significant impact and have been taken to the cleaners by the opposition batsmen.

Warriors
The Warriors played their opening match against the North West Dragons and came tantalizingly close to a victory. Chasing a target of 285, the team suffered a mini-collapse in the middle order. However, Tristan Stubbs and Lesiba Ngoepe played exceedingly well to get their team close to the target, but in the end, fell short by 2 runs. Their second match against the Titans was a close affair too, but they ended up on the losing side.
Opening batsman Jordan Hermann looks to be in good touch, as he has scored half-centuries in both games so far. However, he has failed to receive support from the likes of Wihan Lubbe, Sinethemba Qeshile, and Matthew Breetzke. However, Tristan Stubbs appears to be in superb form and has received excellent support from Lesiba Ngoepe.
Stubbs is the top-scorer for his team with 144 runs and has also picked up 1 wicket. Beyers Swanepoel and Ziyaad Abrahams have picked up 5 wickets each. The squad however looks a bit incomplete, as JJ Smuts and Tiaan vs Vuuren are missing this time around.

Pitch and Conditions
The track at the Mangaung Oval is a good one to bat on, especially early on in the match. The bounce is good and the ball tends to come nicely onto the bat. The quicker bowlers too will enjoy the consistent bounce. However, as the game progresses, the pitch is likely to slow down and will becomes a bit difficult to play shots.
