KTS vs RKS Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Jan 09, 2019

The Dynamites are one of the top teams of the tournaments and they've absolutely played like one in their first two matches. After thrashing Rajshahi Kings in their first encounter, they annihilated Khulna Titans even more brutally. With no wins in two matches, Khulna Titans are now placed at the bottom of the ladder and will be desperate for a victory when they meet Rajshahi Kings on 9th January 2018 at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka. Both the teams were thrashed by the Dynamites by a similar margin and the battle between these two should be an interesting one considering that both the sides will be itching to get off the mark, as far as the points tally is concerned.

KTS vs RKS Team Previews

Khulna Titans

Khulna Titans lost their second match of the season in as many matches after losing to Rangpur Riders by eight runs in their opening match of the season. Their vulnerabilities with the bat were on show once again on display as they were dismissed completely on 87 while chasing a total of 192.

Khulna Titans elected to field first after winning the toss but their opening bowlers failed to put any pressure whatsoever on Hazratullah Zazai and Sunil Narine as both those batsmen made merry on a decent batting surface. Paul Stirling got rid of Zazai and Shakib Al Hasan on consecutive deliveries, but none of the other bowlers was able to keep it tight from the other end. Similar to their last match, they leaked plenty of runs at the death which led to a total which was too much for their batsmen.

Paul Stirling and Junaid Siddiqui's knocks were responsible for taking Khulna Titans in the touch distance of a win in their first encounter, but the duo failed to replicate their performance. Paul Stirling became a victim of Shakib Al Hasan in only the second over of the innings. Siddiqui's brief fight lasted for 31 runs which eventually proved to be the best knock from their side.

Rajshahi Kings

Rajshahi Kings had a tale similar to that of Dhaka-Khulna encounter in their first match of the season. Unlike the Titans, they've only played one match thus far the result of which was not unlike what Titans experienced.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman both failed to make early inroads for them as the opening pair of Hazratullah Zazai and Sunil Narine got the Dynamites off to a steady start. However, it was the introduction of Alauddin Babu which triggered the momentum shift towards the Dynamites. Although Arafat Sunny picked up a couple of scalps in the middle overs, their death bowling was equally bad as they were set a target of 190 to chase.

On paper, Rajshahi Kings have a perfect combination of youth and experience, but they failed to reflect it on the field as most of their dismissals were not because of unplayable bowing, but because of some poor shot selection. Barring Mohammad Hafeez, no batsmen appeared interested to occupy as Mominul Haque and Soumya Sarkar departed in a quest to score too many too soon. Laurie Evans's innings was cut short by some excellent fielding effort from the Dynamites. With no real contribution from any batsmen except Hafeez, all Kings get to was 106 as they lost the match by 83 runs.

KTS vs RKS Betting Tips

It always gets interesting when either the top two or the bottom two teams in the points table meet each other. Both the sides have failed to make any impact whatsoever in the first few days of the tournament and are desperately seeking a win to join the pack in the top half of the table. The Kings are a better-experienced side with the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Hafeez, and Soumya Sarkar - all having experience of playing in subcontinent conditions. Titans, on the other hand, are a little too over-dependent on Mahmudullah, which hasn't paid off for them so far. Due to the aforementioned reasons, Rajshahi Kings are better placed to win the upcoming match and get off the mark.
