The group stages of the Momentum ODI Cup 2019 are all but over and the teams are playing their final matches. The Knights will be playing against the Titans in what is also the penultimate match of the group stages. This is not a match without any consequence either. The Knights are in fifth place right now and within four points of the Warriors. A win here would leave them on the same points as the Warriors with a better run rate. If the Warriors lose their last match then the Knights can qualify.
The Titans have already qualified for the knockout matches and they have nothing to lose but they would want to get in the winning habit for sure.
The Knights lost an important last match in the tournament against the Cape Cobras. It was a match that they desperately needed to win but a poor batting performance left them short of the needed runs to get the win.
A look at the batting lineup of the Knights shows that this is not their strongest suit. Patrick Kruger, Andries Gous, Keegan Peterson, and Petrus van Biljoen do not make the strongest top-order. It has been contributions from players like Rudi Second, Ryan McLaren, and Grant Mokoena that has kept the Knights alive in some difficult situations.
The Titans have a pretty solid bowling attack and we think the Knights are going to find it tough to be able to get their batting in order against them.
The bowling attack for the Knights is quite decent. They have Merchant de Lange, Ryan McLaren, Patrick Kruger, and some useful domestic performers to chip in as well. The stand out bowler in this lineup is Merchant de Lange. He has the raw pace and the ability to extract disconcerting bounce from most surfaces.
If Merchant de Lange can get on a roll and pick up some early wickets then there is a chance that the Knights will be able to pull off this upset.
Patrick Kruger, AGS Gous, Keegan Petersen, Raynard van Tonder, RS Second, Grant Mokoena, Ryan McLaren, Marchant de Lange, Mbulelo Budaza, T Ntuli, Shadley van Schalkwyk.
The Titans are the top team of the Momentum Cup 2019 group standings. They have enough of a cushion to ensure that nothing will change even if they lose this match. The Titans have won six out of their nine matches and lost just three.
We are sure that the Titans are going to want to give some of their best players a rest but not lose this match either.
The fact that the Titans lost their last match against the Lions is also going to be a bit of a concern. The Titans don’t want to be losing momentum at a crucial stage in the competition.
Dean Elgar, Jonathan Vandiar, Grant Thomson, and Farhaan Behardien form the core of a strong batting lineup. We think that Dean Elgar and Farhaan Behardien are the two senior players of the side and should be looking to take a big role in the knockout matches.
They enjoy the ball coming on the bat and should enjoy batting against the Knights also.
Junior Dala has been very good for the Titans bowling. He picked up four wickets in the previous match and also has a bucket load of wickets to his name in the tournament as a whole. Corbin Bosch, Marcello Piedt, and Shermane Alfred Mothoa are all good bowlers that are able to keep a lid on the scoring.
The only potential weak spot we see in the Titans lineup is the ability to chase down big totals. The core of their batting is not very destructive and likes to accumulate runs. A required run rate of over 6.00 can be quite challenging.
JD Vandiar, Dean Elgar, Tony de Zorzi, Theunis de Bruyn, Rivaldo Moonsamy, Farhaan Behardien, GM Thomson, Corbin Bosch, TL Moreki, Marcello Piedt, Gregory Mahlokwana.
The side winning the toss is likely to want to bat first

The Momentum Cup ODI 2019 match between the Knights and the Titans is going to be played at the Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein. The weather forecast for the match is pretty decent. There are some rain clouds around but the current forecast suggests that the match is not going to affect.
The pitch at Bloemfontein is excellent for batting. The players should be able to play their shots and aim for a par total around 300.
We think that the Titans have enough class in their ranks to be able to win this match. They have the depth in their batting and some good bowling form to be able to keep a struggling Knights batting down.
Back the Titans to win.
