The T20 Blast 2019 is about to come to its final leg of group matches and there is a lot on the line for most teams, including the two that are playing this match. Leicestershire will be taking on Nottinghamshire as both teams try and book their place in the T20 Blast 2019 quarter-finals.
Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire are right next to each other in the group table right now and a victory will take the winning team to 2nd in the North group standings, although they would have played a couple of games more than the teams around them.
Leicestershire vs Nottinghamshire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Grace Road, Leicester on the 23rd of August 2019.
Leicestershire has won its last three completed matches and has hit a nice patch of form at the right moment. It’s most recent victory came against Derbyshire where almost every single player of the side got a start with the bat.
All eight players that faced a ball got into double figures although not even a single player got past 40 and only two got past 20. This is a bit of a concern. On one hand, Leicestershire has got a deep batting lineup capable of players contributing with the bat but its players not able to convert those starts into something more substantial.
Against better teams, that could be a problem.
Colin Ackerman has been brilliant with the ball and is picking up wickets in almost every single match. His three wickets for just nine runs contributed massively to Leicestershire’s win against Derbyshire.
Gavin Griffiths and Callum Parkinson are also in good form giving Leicestershire a decent bowling unit although we still think a strong batting lineup could easily rip them apart.

Nottinghamshire has been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the rain to stop for an eternity now! Its last two matches were called off without a single ball being bowled and the one before that was also curtailed due to rain.
We believe that Nottinghamshire has a much stronger batting lineup than Leicestershire in this contest. Alex Hales, Joe Clarke, Ben Duckett, and Tom Moores are all very good T20 players that can smash the ball around.
The spin heavy Leicestershire bowling could be just right for Nottinghamshire’s batsmen to take advantage of.
The bowling is also very potent thanks to Harry Gurney, Imad Wasim, Luke Wood, Samit Patel, and Dan Christian in the side. Not to mention the fact that three quality all-rounders add a lot of depth to the side as well.
We have no doubt in our mind that Nottinghamshire is the stronger side and will be very hard to stop if it plays to its potential.

The team that wins the toss may want to bat first because the pitch could get slower as the match progresses

Leicestershire vs Nottinghamshire is going to be played at Grace Road, Leicester. The weather forecast for match day is quite good and a nice sunny day can be expected. That should be good news for both teams that have seen their matches affected by rain off late.
The pitch at Leicester is not the best we have seen for batting in this tournament but it is not too bad either. The slowness of the surface can provide help to the spinners.
We think Nottinghamshire has a far superior lineup than Leicestershire in every department of the game. Their batting is more explosive, the batting lineup is longer, and the bowling is world-class as well.
Bet on Nottinghamshire to win.
