Leicestershire and Birmingham Bears have won the same number of matches in the T20 Blast 2019 so far but they sit at very different spots on the North Group Table. Birmingham Bears are fourth while Leicestershire is 8th, just one step above the bottom.
The only difference is one point through a tied match.
This shows just how close the competition is in the T20 Blast 2019 and why both the teams are going to be taking this match seriously.
Leicestershire vs Birmingham Bears T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Grace Road, Leicester on the 7th of August 2019.
The home team for this match has been struggling in the T20 Blast 2019. Its recent form has been much better, though, and its previous match was a win against Worcestershire.
The main reason behind that win was an excellent bowling performance that allowed Leicestershire to defend an average total against one of the strongest batting lineups in the entire competition.
Gavin Griffiths and Will Davis took three wickets each while Calum Parksonson took two. Every single bowler bowled well and ended up with figures that they can be proud of.
Is this sort of performance repeatable by Leicestershire? We don’t think so, with all due credit to its bowling unit. The Worcestershire batsmen threw away their wickets to rash shots and then were never able to recover. Birmingham is not a very strong batting side but Leicestershire will still have to bowl very well to be able to run through it in the upcoming match.
Aaron Lilley played a very aggressive inning off 31 from `12 deliveries in the previous match but none of the other batsmen really scored well. Colin Ackerman and Lewis Hill scored some runs but neither of the batsmen in Leicestershire has been scoring the big runs on a consistent basis.
Mark Cosgrove, Harry Swindells, Arron Lilley, Colin Ackermann, Harry Dearden, Lewis Hill, Aadil Ali, Callum Parkinson, Dieter Klein, WS Davis, Gavin Griffiths.
An absolutely thrilling match against Yorkshire ended with a tie and that is something would have disappointed the Birmingham Bears a bit. They had several chances to try and close out the game but never could.
Dominic Sibley has been in the press quite a lot and is being pipped as a possible replacement for one of England’s out of form batsmen. He scored 64 in the match against Yorkshire to do himself no harm.
Michael Burgess, Sam Hain, Adam Hose, Liam Banks, Will Rhodes, and some capable lower order batsmen make Birmingham Bears a decent batting side even if not a particularly great one.
Jeetan Patel had a good game against Yorkshire and showed signs of returning to his best. He was probably the only bowler in the entire match to be able to get away without being expensive. Fidel Edwards, Henry Brooks, James Wainman are the other bowlers in the bowling attack.
The Birmingham Bears are not the strongest T20 side in this group but they have some players that can help cover up their flaws.
Dominic Sibley, Michael Burgess , Sam Hain, Adam Hose, Will Rhodes, Liam Banks, Alex Thomson, Henry Brookes, Jeetan Patel, James Wainman, FH Edwards.

Leicestershire vs Birmingham Bears T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Grace Road, Leicester. Early morning showers should give way to a beautiful day if the weather forecast holds true. There is nothing in the pitch at Grace Road that is remarkably different than the other English grounds.
The ball is going to come on the bat nicely and a lot of runs should be scored. A score of around 170-180 can be considered par.
Leicestershire and Birmingham are two sides with some flaws in them. They can both be quite poor on their bad days and must work hard to avoid that from happening. The Birmingham Bears, though, have some more match-winners in their team and that is why we are backing them to win.
Bet on the Birmingham Bears to win.
