LEI vs WRW Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Aug 14, 2022
It's just been a couple of days since Birmingham Bears scripted a narrow win over Sussex Sharks and here they are again - set to take on Leicestershire Foxes in what is expected to be yet another close game. Just like the Bears, Leicestershire too have been brilliant and the two teams are placed neck and neck on the ladder.
This highly anticipated match between Birmingham Bears (also known as Warwickshire) and Leicestershire Foxes is to be played on 14th August 2022 at the Grace Road Cricket Ground, Leicester. Given how the two sides have played up until now, this match promises to be a cracker of a contest.
LEI vs WRW Team Previews
Leicestershire
Leicestershire Foxes started off their campaign with a terrific win over Surrey in the opening match but that was followed by a brutal defeat at the hands of Sussex. Following that loss against Sussex, it could have been difficult to bounce back but Leicestershire did bounce back in style. They have since then won a couple of back to back games and will be longing for more when they take on Warwickshire in this upcoming fixture.
As it currently stands on the points table, Leicestershire are placed third on the points table having won three out of a total of four games played. Another win will keep them in the hunt to get to the top of the ladder. Their net rate, which currently is at -0.330, took a massive cut from their loss against Sussex and they would want to improve that as well.
On paper, Leicestershire have a pretty good side and with a couple of good wins, they have shown that they can replicate that on-paper strength in the field as well. This is a difficult assignment and Leicestershire Foxes will have to be very best. If they are able to play to their on-paper potential, they will be a very difficult side to get past.
Leicestershire Playing 11

Birmingham Bears
Birmingham Bears have been pretty consistent of late in English domestic competition across the formats. If anything, they have only grown in stature more recently. They are yet to be beaten in the ongoing edition of the Royal London One Day Cup and will want to keep it like that. A win here will push them to the top of the ladder, at least in the interim, and that is exactly what they will be aiming for.
As it currently stands on the ladder though, they are placed at the fourth spot with two wins in three matches. Along with the five points, they have a pretty good net run rate of 0.506, which can come in handy should things get tight towards the back end of the league stage.
Warwickshire showed their on-paper strength in their previous game as the first set up a daunting challenge for Sussex and then ended up defending it against the run of play. The experience available right throughout the order helps them in seizing crunch moments and that is what proved to be helpful in the last match as well. All in all, Birmingham Bears have a spectacular side and it would be interesting to see how they do playing away from home. If they are able to play to their potential, they would in business big time.

LEI vs WRW Betting Tips
Both sides have done a similar job until now and the points table reflects that as well. It would be an interesting contest and the team that manages to hold its nerves better will likely come out on top. Considering how the two sides have done up until now, there is little to separate the two. On paper, however, Birmingham Bears appear to be a better balanced side between the two. They also are unbeaten up until now and will be brimming with confidence. For that and the other reasons stated above, betting on a Birmingham win should be the way to go here.
