Yorkshire and Leicestershire sit right next to each other in the table standings right now but we don’t think they are very closely matched sides. Yorkshire has won two out of the three games it has actually played while Leicestershire won just one out of the two it has played.
Both the teams have suffered a lot of lost points at the hands of the rain.
The forecast for this match is a lot better, though, and we should be able to get a full contest. Can Leicestershire make the most of the home advantage and win this match or will Yorkshire add another win to its name and put pressure on the teams ahead of it?
Leicestershire vs Yorkshire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at Grace Road, Leicester on the 11th of September 2020.
A strong batting lineup on paper has not translated to performances on the field for Leicestershire so far. Their leading batsmen have struggled for runs which is why the team is looking a bit weaker than it is.
Aaron Lilley and Gareth Delany managed to score fifties in one match and showed they could be effective at the top of the order but we are a bit skeptical about their long term success.
The Foxes desperately need Colin Ackerman to start scoring runs in the middle. He is the heart and soul of this team and a return to form for him is going to be massive.
Callum Parkinson and Gareth Delany lead the bowling charts for Leicestershire at the moment. They are going to have their hands full against a dangerous Yorkshire batting lineup. Parkinson will have Jor Root lineup as his target and that may be an interesting battle to watch out for.
The Leicestershire Foxes are a dangerous T20 team, there is no doubt about that but their current form does not inspire too much confidence.
Gareth Delany, Arron Lilley, Harry Dearden, Colin Ackermann, Lewis Hill, Tom Taylor, Harry Swindells, Ben Mike, Callum Parkinson, Gavin Griffiths, William Davis.
Yorkshire has an excellent batting top-order and will be banking on that to get it another win here. Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Joe Root, and Will Fraine have all played very well in the T20 Blast so far.
The team has five fifties from its batsmen already, which is more than almost every other team in the competition. Harry Brook has also looked in good touch as well.
The positive thing is that runs are coming from a number of different players and so the likelihood of success is a lot more.
David Willey is unlikely to be available for this match and that is going to be a bit of a disadvantage since he can contribute with both the bat and the ball.
Still, with the likes of Thompson, Poysden, and Fisher, Yorkshire is not really lacking in the bowling department.
The key to a Yorkshire victory is going to be its batting and that part of the team seems to be purring along very nicely.
Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Willey, Harry Brook, Will Fraine, Jonathan Tattersall, Jordan Thompson, Matthew Fisher, Ben Coad, Josh Poysden, Jack Shutt.
The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bat second, however, we don't think winning the toss is going to be too much of an advantage in this match.

The weather in Leicester is expected to nice and sunny for match day. We should not have any trouble getting a full 20 over a side contest. The pitch at Leicester can be a bit on the slower side and does tend to have something in it for the bowlers.
The nature of T20 cricket and the small boundaries, however, means that we are still in for a high-scoring contest. Anything less than 170 batting first will be considered a poor total.
We think Yorkshire has the batting to be able to win this match. It is catching Leicestershire at a time when its confidence is low and its main batsmen are struggling. The absence of a few key players should not hold back Yorkshire too much.
Bet on Yorkshire to win.
