Exactly opposite to how they did in a little longer version of the game, the Momentum One Day Cup, the Lions are cruising at the moment in the ongoing CSA T20 Challenge. Dolphins, on the other hand, are struggling hard to keep their semi-final hopes alive as they registered a heart-wrenching loss against Titans in their last encounter. The two teams are set to take on each other in a yet another encounter which is to be played at Senwes Park on 22nd April.
With the return of their international stars, the Lions have without a doubt been the team to watch this year and they have shown it on the field as well. Despite three wins, they are currently at the top of the table and a win here should confirm a playoff spot for them, considering their phenomenal net run-rate of 0.9.
Lions' last match was washed out on Saturday and we do not expect them to make any changes to the lineup they were to field in that match. Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen have been in fabulous form for them and a lot will depend on them for Lions to continue building on the momentum they have.
The best things about the Lions this season has been their balance. With the likes of Dwaine Pretorius and Wiaan Mulder available in the late middle-order, they have the depth in their batting without really compromising on the bowling options. Bjorn Fortuin has already picked up nine wickets in the tournament and will be the one to watch out for, as far as their bowling is concerned.

The return of Andile Phehlukwayo reaped immediate rewards for the Dolphins as they racked up 185 runs on the board possible largely due to his cameo, but that too wasn't enough as their bowlers were hammered all around the park in the second innings. The Dolphins are currently fifth at the points table with just one win to their name and really need to kick on from here.
Just like the Lions, they too have the services of experienced campaigners, but the lack any real contribution apart from them has really hurt them in the tournament thus far. In the lower order, Robbie Frylinck has been good, but often it gets to a stage where anything he does is too little too late when he comes into bat.
The Dolphins are expected to field the same playing eleven unless of course there happens to be a last-minute injury. They are a little light inexperience as far as their bowling is concerned with only Keshav Maharaj and Robbie Frylinck having played a relatively high number of matches.
Playing 11 not yet available.
Considering the position two teams are in at the points table, one would assume this match to be a rather walk in the park for the Lions, but Cricket is a funny game and we have seen a lot of upsets happen. Having said that, the Lions clearly appear to be the better of the two sides, both on paper and as per the performance in the tournament so far, and are our pick to win the upcoming match on Monday.
