MA vs TAD Match Prediction - Feb 03, 2021

We are into the second last day of the league stage of the Abu Dhabi T10 League and there certainly is a clear line of separation emerging. All teams placed in the bottom four positions are stuck at two points each and need to kick on from here. At the bottom of the pit are Maratha Arabians who have had a terrible tournament thus far and desperately need to win their remaining matches. They'll be up against Team Abu Dhabi who also have had a similar kind of tournament. The match between the two sides is to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on 3rd February 2021.

MA vs TAD Team Previews

Maratha Arabians

Another day and another loss - such has been the story for the Arabians in this edition of Abu Dhabi T10 League. They started their campaign in a fantastic fashion, defeating Northern Warriors with significant ease, but their campaign has gone only downhill thereafter. As of now, they are at the bottom of the points table with two points and a terrible net run-rate of -3.086.

Just like TAD, Maratha Arabians too need to register two consecutive wins to qualify for the playoffs. Given the way have done so far, things are going to be incredibly difficult for them. In their most recent match, they were defeated by Qalandars. Batting first, the Arabians could manage to put just 101 runs on the board and that total was chased by Qalandars with four wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare.

Even though the Arabians are well rich in experience, they lack the essential fire-power to thrive in this format. Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik have both done pretty well, but they have scored at strike-rate which is just par for the course. So far, no one in their batting lineup seems to be capable of scoring more at a rapid rate and that is what has hurt them the most. Apart from that, the Arabians have an inexperienced bowling attack, which hurts them further while defending low scores. Given the team the Arabians have on paper, they'd have to play out of their skins to get past Arabians in the upcoming contest.

Team Abu Dhabi

Not many would have expected the team that features some of the hardest hitters of the ball to fail as badly as Team Abu Dhabi have in this edition of the tournament. They can into the competition on the back of the fantastic reputation that their players had. However, they have so far managed to win only one of four matches and much of that could be attributed to their poor batting performance.

As it stands, Team Abu Dhabi are placed at the fifth spot with two points and a net run-rate of -0.337. Considering that they do not have a terrific net run-rate, they'd need to win both of their remaining fixtures to qualify for the next round. Having said that, they'll be thinking one game at a time and would want to first register a win here against the Arabians.

Team Abu Dhabi last played a match a couple of days ago and this break, however short, would certainly help their players regroup and come back better prepared in this upcoming match. In the last match that they played, they were defeated by Northern Warriors, who are one of the better teams in the tournament. Team Abu Dhabi fought hard, but could not keep Warriors at bay.

On paper, Team Abu Dhabi have a fantastic side that has just lacked execution. The biggest disappointment for them has been under-performing Chris Gayle, who hasn't played even one innings of substance. However, Joe Clarke and Luke Wright have looked good and they will hold the key in this upcoming fixture. On the bowling front as well, Team Abu Dhabi have done pretty well so far. If their bowlers can keep delivering similar kinds of performances and their batsmen can step up their game, Team Abu Dhabi could prove to be the team to beat in this competition.

MA vs TAD Betting Tips

It is an important contest for both sides considering that a loss here will probably mean the end of the tournament for the losing team. Both sides have so far done similarly with the exception of Team Abu Dhabi putting up a bit of fight in their matches. Also, Team Abu Dhabi have a superior team on paper, thanks to the presence of hard-hitting batsmen at the top of the order. Considering that, we expect Team Abu Dhabi to register a win here and keep their chances to progress alive in this tournament.
