The IPL 2020 Playoffs are here and the teams that get two chances to make the IPL final play each other in Qualifier 1. This is the perk of finishing in the top-2. The winner of Qualifier 1 is going to go to the IPL Final while the loser will not be eliminated. It will play the Qualifier 2 versus the winner of the Eliminator.
Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are the two teams competing against each other in Qualifier 1. They have both played each other twice this season already, like every other team, and the Mumbai Indians have dominated those matches.
Delhi Capitals have also lost four out of the last five matches they have played. Rohit Sharma is back for the Mumbai Indians and their fast bowlers are going to be pretty well-rested as well after missing the final group match.
Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals IPL 2020 is going to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on the 5th of November 2020.
The final group match that MI played and lost is not something that is going to bother them too much. Yes, the team lost by 10 wickets but it did not have Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, or Hardik Pandya in the playing eleven.
All three are expected to back for Qualifier 1 and Rohit Sharma is back in the team as well.
A full-strength MI team has the capability of beating any team on its day.
The batting is in good hands with Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav in great form. Rohit Sharma can never be counted out either. Ishan Kishan has been in tremendous knick and the power that Pollard brings is just at a whole different level.
MI will be aware of the threat the DC poses with its bowling but be quietly confident of holding its own.
The real advantage that MI has is the bowling. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult have been incredible for MI. Both of them are in the top-5 bowlers of IPL 2020 and can be counted upon to bowl at all times of the match.
With Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya, Mumbai Indians have a lot of good options for every aspect of the game. A couple of early wickets could put MI under some pressure as we saw against SRH.
Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, SA Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Trent Boult, Rahul Chahar, JJ Bumrah.
We liked the change that DC made to its team composition for the previous match. It dropped Shimron Hetmyer and included Daniel Sams to get rid of the problems it was having with its fifth bowler.
It also added Ajinkya Rahane for Harshal Patel so that its batting did not suffer.
It was a bit of a risky move because Rahane had not performed well in the IPL 2020 but he scored 60 just when it mattered the most. The batting is still a bit shaky, though.
Prithvi Shaw is in poor form and there is too much of a dependence on Shikhar Dhawan. Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and Marcus Stoinis have also not been scoring runs in recent matches.
MI has a very strong bowling attack and this is where DC needs to be better.
DC’s bowling is excellent. It is presumably going to play Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Daniel Sams, Ravi Ashwin, and Axar Patel. There is nothing for the batsmen to target and they will have to try and take apart a quality bowler.
We like this small but significant revamp that DC has made. If the batsmen can get their act together, DC could be primed to reach the IPL final for the first time in IPL history.
Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, RR Pant, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Daniel Sams, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje.
The toss is going to be important but maybe not as much as people tend to think. Three out of the last six matches in Dubai have been won by the team batting first and three by the team batting second. We think the team that wins the toss is going to want to field first to take advantage of any dew that falls.

The IPL 2020 Playoffs are going to be played in Dubai. This is a venue where MI has lost two out of the three matches it has played (Both in the Super Over) but won against DC by 9 wickets. DC has lost its previous three matches at Dubai and will want to turn things around.
We expect the wicket to be slow to start off with and then maybe become better for batting as the dew comes down.
A score of around 170 is the least that teams batting first will be aiming for.

There is no doubt that MI is the favorite going into this match, however, we think the market may have overvalued it a bit. DC has an excellent bowling attack and a batting that is inherently good. This is the same team that was leading the IPL points table for the most part.
With the new balance that DC has, we think it could cause an upset and win the match against MI.
Go with the upset in this one.
Bet on the Delhi Capitals to win.
The return of Rohit Sharma gives MI a massive boost at the top of the order. He and de Kock form a great partnership. DC also has the maverick and out of form Prithvi Shaw who has a tendency of getting out early. That and the fact that Rabada has taken a wicket in the powerplay just in one match in the entire IPL 2020 makes this a great bet for you.
DC’s top-order is going to score quickly. Dhawan and Shaw will rocket the score along if they are together for any significant amount of time. DC also has a very good bowling attack that could keep things tight when MI bats. The odds make this bet worth it although the obvious risk of MI’s batsman getting away remains.
Trent Boult has been excellent in IPL 2020. No one has taken more wickets in the powerplay than him. Considering the weaknesses that DC has shown in its batting, Boult could be in the perfect position to capitalize. A risky bet as individual bets always are but one with very good returns.
This is our favorite bet of the match. 5 sixes is nothing in today's day and age. DC may not have as strong a batting lineup as MI but we think it is going to hit at least 5 sixes for sure. Dhawan, Shaw, Iyer, Stoinis, and Pant are more than likely to help you get this win and a return of over 70% in your pocket!
