MID vs HAM Match Prediction - Jul 30, 2021

Middlesex and Hampshire are going to be playing against each other in this next match of the Royal London ODI Cup 2021. We don't think either of the teams is going to be happy with its start but there is still some time to improve the situation. Middlesex has played two and lost both its matches so far while Hampshire managed to win one out of the two it has played.

Middlesex vs Hampshire Royal London ODI Cup 2021 is going to be played at the Radlett Cricket Club, Radlett on the 30th of July 2021.

MID vs HAM Team Previews

Middlesex

Peter Handscomb played a good knock of 75 in the previous match against Durham but he did not have any support and it was not enough to get the team over the line. Middlesex fell short by just two runs while chasing down 288. It is not like they do not have some other good batsmen on their team either. Max Holden, Sam Robson, and Varun Chopra should all be able to contribute.

Tim Murtagh and Ethan Bamber are the bowlers that will lead the attack. The problem for Middlesex seems to be a lack of good current for its senior players but this is not a team that you want to count out completely.

Hampshire

Nick Gubbins played a spectacular inning of 131 to help his team to a massive 98 runs victory in the previous match. James Fuller also scored 54 quick runs in the lower order and time Alsop contributed with 68 opening the batting. The batting order for Hampshire seems to be in a better situation than Middlesex.

Gubbins also picked up four wickets in the previous match but he is not someone that would like to be needed to bowl regularly. Kyle Abbott, John Turner, James Fuller, and Ian Holland form a pretty decent bowling attack.

Pitch and Conditions

It appears as if the rain is falling everywhere in the UK at the moment! The forecast for match day in Radlett is not very good and we could have a tough time getting a result. A reduced overs match seems to be the least that we can expect at the moment.

The pitch at Radlett is a bit on the slow side and does not have too much bounce. The small boundaries of the ground still allow the batsmen to get a lot of runs, though.

MID vs HAM Betting Tips

We are going to back Hampshire to win this match. Their batting is in better form and their bowling is led by a season former international player like Kyle Abbott.
