Melbourne Renegades
The Melbourne Renegades have batted superbly in the two matches they have played so far. Aaron Finch, Nic Maddinson, and Andre Russell have made significant contributions in these two matches showing that most of the batting unit is in good form.
Same Harper, Jake Fraser, and Jonathan Wells would like to hit their stride as well but so far, it looks as if the batting is well covered.
Among the bowlers, the Melbourne Renegades made an excellent choice when they picked up Akeal Hosein. He bowls with the new ball, keeps the runs down, and has also picked up four wickets in the two matches he has played.
His partnership with Mujeeb ur Rahman is excellent and with Kane Richardson, Andre Russell, and Will Sutherland to back them up, the Renegades have their best bowling lineup in years.

Brisbane Heat
It is difficult to make any sort of inferences from just one match but that is all that we have to go on right now. Brisbane Heat batted poorly in the opening match and looking at their lineup, more such problems can be expected.
They have Max Bryant and Colin Munro in their top-3. Bryant is excellent at short cameos but does not seem to go on and build big innings too often. Similarly, Munro can go through prolonged stretches of poor form and is also nearing the end of his career.
Sam Billings and Ross Whiteley are the overseas players for Brisbane Heat. We like Billings in the middle as someone who can play a variety of roles but Whiteley may find it difficult to replicate his exploits of the T20 Blast.
Mitch Swepson, Matthew Kuhnemann, Xavier Bartlett, James Bazley, and Mark Steketee have been around for a long time in Australian domestic cricket now. They form a decent bowling unit but will they really be able to improve upon the level of performances we have seen from them in the past?
We don't think so.

Pitch and Conditions
The weather forecast in Geelong is quite good and there is no rain expected. The pitch is expected to be a bit slow but still flat. It should be a lower-scoring match than what we have seen and we think something around 150 could be quite competitive.
MLR vs BH Betting Tips
We think the Melbourne Renegades are certainly more complete as a unit. They have more batting talent and depth. Their spinners may also be quite tough to face in Geelong. A third consecutive win could very well be on the cards.
Bet on the Melbourne Renegades to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The Melbourne Renegades have so far shown a superb ability to go hard in the powerplay. We also think they are able to control the powerplay during their bowling stint better as well thanks to Akeal Hosein.
