MLSW vs BHW Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Nov 13, 2019

We are not even halfway into the Women's Big Bash League, but have already seen some exceptional moments of the game. Just a day ago, Sophie Devine hit five sixes in an over and helped Renegades to get past Hurricanes in a superb game of cricket. Melbourne Stars continue to stay at the bottom of the pit with just two points to their name. Unless the want to end their chances to qualify for the next round, they'd need to kick-start their campaign with a win in their upcoming fixture, which is to be played in Melbourne on 13th of this month. They will be up against Bribane Heat and considering the form the Heat have been in, its not going to be easy for the Stars.

Melbourne Stars Women
Just a couple of games ago, Melbourne Stars got past Perth Scorchers and that too in a rather one-sided manner. The fans would have hoped for their revival in the tournament following that win, but it was not to be. The Stars lost both their subsequent matches and are currently placed at the bottom of the ladder.
They have just two points to their name in a total of seven matches and need to make a move on here. They also have a pretty poor net run-rate of -0.723, which can be a deciding factor should things get down to the net run-rate in the latter half of the tournament.
Their bowlers were hammered in both of their last matches as Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers scored 199 and 164 in their respective matches. Their bowlers' performance has been so poor in all the matches they have played in recent times that they have picked only seven wickets in total in their last three matches. Their batting, however, has done reasonably well in the tournament so far.
In the last match, their bowlers failed to restrict Adelaide Strikers to a decent total and picked up only four wickets in total. Batsmen found it difficult on a wicket that was slowing down as the Stars eventually lost the match by 17 runs. All in all, their bowlers haven't been able to trouble the opposition's batsmen whereas there batsmen haven't managed to cover for their poor performing bowlers. If their bowlers can find a way to restrict the flow of runs, the Stars could very well turn their way around in the tournament.

Brisbane Heat Women
Brisbane Heat have been pretty consistent since the beginning of this year's edition of the Women's Big Bash League and they are in a pretty good spot at the ladder as well. Thanks to their net run-rate of 0.788, they lead the pack of the teams that have eight points to their name. Brisbane Heat have played seven games and have eight points to their name. They have won three and lost four matches in the tournament so far.
After suffering a nasty defeat at the hands of Adelaide Strikers a couple of days ago, Brisbane Heat have bounced back brilliantly in the tournament. They registered wins over Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers in back to back matches and would be flying high with the confidence gained from those wins.
They would be amused by their win over Sydney Sixers in particular, wherein their bowlers did an immaculate job of keeping Sydney's power-packed batting lineup to a modest total of 123. Brisbane's batsmen didn't have to struggle much to hunt that total down and eventually cruised to the total in just 16.5 overs with seven wickets to spare. Brisbane Heat have done incredibly well in the tournament and with wins over two of the best teams in the tournament, they are looking stronger than ever.

MLSW vs BHW Betting Tips
With almost half the tournament done and dusted, both the sides will be looking to get as many points as possible to make it easier at the back-end of the league stage. For Stars, the things are going to be a lot more difficult primarily because they haven't won a lot of matches as of now. Brisbane Heat are better placed at the ladder and will be more confident of the two sides. Comparing the two teams on paper and on the basis of their respective performances in the recent matches, Brisbane Heat are firm favorites to win the upcoming encounter and take the top-spot at the ladder.
