Only a couple of matches have gone so far in the Global T20 Canada, and the league is already gaining in popularity across the globe. The Montreal Tigers, who had a disastrous run in the previous edition of the tournament, will be looking to put up a better show this time around. They started their campaign against Winnipeg Hawks and went onto a cruise to a relatively easy victory. They would love to keep their winning run going in the second match as well where they face Brampton Wolves who are yet to feature in the tournament. They have come into this tournament in place of CWI B team and will be looking to get into the action right away. With both sides desperate to register a win in their upcoming fixture, we expect a nail-biting contest at Brampton on this Saturday.
Montreal Tigers are coming off a massive win in their previous match which was reduced to 12 overs a side due to technical issues. Although they'll be pretty disappointed to not to get a full quota of twenty overs, a win would certainly have helped them with their frustration.
Sunil Narine impressed with the bat as he smashed the Winnipeg bowlers all around the park and scored a quickfire 59 off just 30 deliveries to guide his team to the tall total. His all-around skills are going to be of significant importance for the Tigers in the upcoming fixture as well. Alongside him, the likes of Anton Devcich, George Bailey, and Matthew Cross are going to play a vital role for the Tigers to post a challenging total on the board or chase one down.
While their batting seems to be good on paper, they appear to be a little light as far as their bowling is concerned. Barring Sean Abbott, they lack an experienced fast bowler who could prove to be a distinguishing factor in case there isn't much assistance for spinners on the surface. Having said that, they have plenty of options with the ball primarily due to the presence of all-rounders in their squad. Considering their performance in the first match, they aren't likely to miss the services of Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana who are away on national duty for Sri Lanka's series against Bangladesh.
SP Narine, Kyle Coetzer, Anton Devcich, GJ Bailey, Matthew Cross, Mohammad Naveed, Nikhil Dutta, Dillon Heyliger, Fawad Ahmed, Bupinder Singh, Sean Abbott.
The Wolves suffered a massive blow when Shakib Al Hasan dropped out of the league which severely affected the balance of their side. However, they still have a wide array of match-winners available at their disposal with Lendl Simmons, Shahid Afridi, and Wahab Riaz, to name a few.
The Wolves will be heavily dependent on Lendl Simmons, who was the highest run-scored in the last edition of the tournament. Although they have a couple of more match-winners in Colin Munro and Andre Fletcher who can take the game away in a matter of minutes, they lack someone who can play the role of a sheet anchor in case of quick wickets falling down.
Unlike the Tigers, they have a terrific bowling lineup consisting of Wahab Riaz, Shahid Afridi, and Darren Sammy. Having said that, the lack of all-rounders means that their main bowlers can ill-afford to have an off day on the field.
Colin Munro, LMP Simmons, George Munsey, Rohan Mustafa, SMSK Afridi, Nitish Kumar, Newab Singh, Wahab Riaz, Zahoor Khan, IS Sodhi, Cecil Pervez.

This is the first appearance of Brampton Wolves in the tournament, and they'll be looking to get off to a flying start. Montreal Tigers, on the other hand, have already played a game in this edition and scored an important win in that. As the Wolves haven't played a match yet, comparing the sides on the form will not yield concrete insights. On paper, however, the Tigers appear to be better balanced with a nice amalgamation of stroke makers and accumulators and wide array of bowling options. With a win behind their back and experience of playing on this surface makes them firm favorites to win the upcoming encounter.
