After a disappointing One Day International series, Ireland's focus will be back on their local tournament, the Ireland Inter-provincial One Day tournament that has progressed well over the course of last month. In the 12th match of the competition, Munster Reds will take on North West Warriors in a match that is expected to be mighty exciting. The match is set to be played on 15th June 2021 at Mardyke Cricket Ground, Cork, Ireland.
It's been a while since the tournament started and even though all sides have played a reasonable number of matches, Munster Reds are yet to get off the mark. They have four of their matches gone by and they have lost two matches out of those. The remaining two were washed out due to rain and Munster Reds can consider themselves lucky that they were able to salvage a couple of points in that.
On paper, the Reds certainly do lack experience and that has been a reason for the dreadful run thus far. Led by Tyrone Kane, Munster Reds do not have anyone with international experience. They do have some talented players though and they are going to be mighty critical for Reds to do well in this upcoming match.
Tyrone Kane, Peter Moor, Cormac Micheal Joseph McLoughlin Gavin, Murray Commins, Jack Carty, Greg Ford, Matt Ford, Fionn Hand, Aaron Cawley, Josh Manley, Amish Sidhu.
North West Warriors haven't really performed as they would have liked to given the team they have on paper, but they would not be too disappointed, yet. Out of the five games played, they have won two and lost two. With 11 points in their kitty, the Warriors are placed second on the ladder and will want to consolidate their position here.
The Warriors have a terrific team on paper with the likes of William Porterfield, Stuart Thompson, Andy McBrine, and Boyd Rankin available. They have done well thus far and will have the momentum. If they can perform as per the team they have, beating them is going to be tough.
Andy McBrine, WTS Porterfield, Stephen Doheny, Kyle Magee, Shane Getkate, Nathan McGuire, William McClintock, Graham Kennedy, Graham Hume, Craig Young, Varun Chopra.
There is a day and night of difference between the two sides on performance as well as on paper. It will take a miracle for Munster Reds to defeat North West Warriors and we don't think that is going to happen. Betting on a Warriors win should be the way to go here.
