Manish Pandey scored aggressive 52 from 36 deliveries while Arjun Hoysala provided a good foundation with his 46 off 35, batting first against Bellary Tuskers. Jonathan posted a quick fire 30 from 14 balls to take the total to 157 runs, which the bowlers defended successfully to win the match by 9 runs. Spinner Gowtham and medium pacer Koushik took 2 wickets each to stifle the opponents while others like Raju Bhatkal and Vijay Kumar contributed with a wicket each.
Against Rockstars, Arjun Hoysala went on to score a brilliant 89 from 61 balls while Bhatkal, Gowtham and Joshi kept the scoreboard ticking and took the total to a huge 219 runs. Spinner Suchith registered a figure of 3-27 while Bhatkal and Wadhwani took 2 scalps each. Others too contributed well in mounting the pressure on the opposition and won the match by 113 runs.
Overall, their in-form batting and bowling have turned them into a formidable force to reckon with, and with a good strategy, they can surely conquer the Bulls too on Friday.
Although their last game ended without any result due to rain, the bowlers did a splendid job of demolishing the Mangalore batting line-up, picking up wickets in quick succession. Mithun, Farooqi and Naveen took 2 wickets each to restrict the opponents to just 45 runs in 9 overs. Cariappa also did a fine job by taking one scalp however their good efforts went in vain as they had to share the match points due to the abandonment of the game.
In the match against Hubli Tigers, the batsmen performed superbly to chase down 189 runs with ease; opener Samarth posted an unbeaten 87 off 54 to build a solid foundation while captain Robin Uthappa scored a well-made half-century to steer the team towards a win. Bowlers Khadir, Naveen and Mithun have been consistently taking wickets and they can repeat their skills here too; along with others like Farooqi, Shekavat and Cariappa, the Bulls surely have the firepower to counter the opponents on Friday.
Overall, they are a balanced unit with hard-hitting batsmen and wicket-taking bowlers, who can overcome the challenges on the field to help the team go back to their winning ways.
It will definitely be an evenly fought contest between the Bulls and Warriors, who have taken the title once each earlier and will be determined to do so yet again this season. While the Bulls have not yet come to their dominating best, Mysuru Warriors have surely proven to be a tough unit till now. However, looking at the performance of the sides in their last games respectively, Bijapur Bulls are more likely to come out as the winning side
