Paras Khadka led from the front as he smashed the first ever T20 international century for his country in the previous match. He ensured that Nepal chased down a challenging total against Singapore without any hiccups.

151 could have been tricky had a few early wickets been lost but a stunning assault by Parask Khadka where he scored 106 off just 52 deliveries left everyone dumbfounded. There were nine sixes over the boundary as well.

The problem for Nepal is that it does not have too many batsmen apart from Khadka to be able to pull off such an assault. Aarif Sheikh showed some promise and we know that Sompal Kami can hit a few lusty blows down the order but the onus of scoring the most runs is going to be on Paras Khadka again.

Sandeep Lamichhane was the chief destroyer in the previous match that Nepal played against Zimbabwe. He has been bowling in the opening powerplay and getting through his overs early in an effort to pick up wickets.

We think Zimbabwe might try to do what Singapore did and just play him off with minimal damage.

Sompal Kami, KC Karan, and Sushan Bhari are the other players that are going to play an important role in the bowling attack.

A loss to Singapore by four runs shows the kind of challenges that lie ahead of Zimbabwe in the coming months. It is losing quality players and is struggling to replace them without diluting its strength. T20 cricket is meant to encourage the maximum possible chances of causing an upset so Zimbabwe will not be too bothered about a solitary misstep.

One more such defeat, though, and the problems will become glaring.

The Zimbabwe bowlers went for plenty of runs in the previous match, eventually conceding 181 in just 18 overs. Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, and Richard Ngarava were the only bowlers to be able to make some impact on the game.

An improved performance and maybe some changes in the bowing lineup are needed ahead of this match.

Sean Williams, Regis Chakabva, and Tinotenda Mutombodzi were the three batsmen that fought hard till the end of the inning. Had they stuck around for a little longer or Ryan Burl been able to contribute with the bat, the result could have been different.

The writing on the wall is there. Zimbabwe does not have as much of a lead over the other teams as it thought and cannot afford too many mistakes. An improved performance in every aspect of the game is needed.
