The Singapore T20 Tri-Series has become very interesting now that every team has won one match each. It is unfortunate that we don’t have a final at the end for the teams to play for but there is still a lot to play for with the T20 World Cup on the horizon.
Nepal and Zimbabwe will be facing off for the second time in this series. The first match between these two sides turned out to be very close (https://www.onlinecricketbetting.net/cricket-betting-tips/zim-vs-nep-27-sep-2019/)
Zimbabwe is a full member nation and even though its future is uncertain right now, being pushed to the brink by Nepal and then losing to Singapore would have hurt. Expect both teams to come hard in this match.
Nepal vs Zimbabwe Singapore T20 Tri-Series is going to be played at the Indan Association Ground, Singapore on the 1st of October 2019.
Paras Khadka led from the front as he smashed the first ever T20 international century for his country in the previous match. He ensured that Nepal chased down a challenging total against Singapore without any hiccups.
151 could have been tricky had a few early wickets been lost but a stunning assault by Parask Khadka where he scored 106 off just 52 deliveries left everyone dumbfounded. There were nine sixes over the boundary as well.
The problem for Nepal is that it does not have too many batsmen apart from Khadka to be able to pull off such an assault. Aarif Sheikh showed some promise and we know that Sompal Kami can hit a few lusty blows down the order but the onus of scoring the most runs is going to be on Paras Khadka again.
Sandeep Lamichhane was the chief destroyer in the previous match that Nepal played against Zimbabwe. He has been bowling in the opening powerplay and getting through his overs early in an effort to pick up wickets.
We think Zimbabwe might try to do what Singapore did and just play him off with minimal damage.
Sompal Kami, KC Karan, and Sushan Bhari are the other players that are going to play an important role in the bowling attack.
B Bhandari, Paras Khadka, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, Pawan Sarraf, Kushal Malla, Sandeep Lamichhane, Karan KC, Sushan Bhari, Abinash Bohara.
A loss to Singapore by four runs shows the kind of challenges that lie ahead of Zimbabwe in the coming months. It is losing quality players and is struggling to replace them without diluting its strength. T20 cricket is meant to encourage the maximum possible chances of causing an upset so Zimbabwe will not be too bothered about a solitary misstep.
One more such defeat, though, and the problems will become glaring.
The Zimbabwe bowlers went for plenty of runs in the previous match, eventually conceding 181 in just 18 overs. Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, and Richard Ngarava were the only bowlers to be able to make some impact on the game.
An improved performance and maybe some changes in the bowing lineup are needed ahead of this match.
Sean Williams, Regis Chakabva, and Tinotenda Mutombodzi were the three batsmen that fought hard till the end of the inning. Had they stuck around for a little longer or Ryan Burl been able to contribute with the bat, the result could have been different.
The writing on the wall is there. Zimbabwe does not have as much of a lead over the other teams as it thought and cannot afford too many mistakes. An improved performance in every aspect of the game is needed.
Peter Moor, Richmond Mutumbami, R Chakabva, Brian Chari, Sean Williams, CT Mutombodzi, Tony Munyonga, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Daniel Jakiel, WT Mashinge.

The Indian Association Ground, Singapore is living up to its reputation of providing exciting matches. The small boundaries make six-hitting quite easy and a set batsman can take a heavy toll. Another high scoring match seems likely.
Some rain has been forecast in Singapore but it is expected to be clear around the time of the start of the match. We should not have any interruptions.
Nepal and Zimbabwe have been slugging it out pretty evenly in Singapore. The short boundaries and the fact that the batsmen are getting used to the pace of wicket means that a lot of runs could be scored in this match. We have tried to pick the best batsmen and the leading spinners from both sides.
It may be tempting to bet on Nepal but its dependence on Paras Khadka for the bulk of its runs is a bit scary to us. Zimbabwe would have been shaken out of its complacency and will come hard at Nepal.
Bet on Zimbabwe to win.
