The Northern Knights are still looking for their first win of Super Smash 2020-21 and are desperate for a win. This is going to be their fourth match of the season and another loss is really going to separate them from the top half.
Central Districts, on the other hand, are going to be looking for an opportunity to move up to second or even first with a win in this match. The test series between New Zealand and Pakistan is still going on and so there a few international names that will continue to miss out.
Northern Knights vs Centra Districts Super Smash 2020-21 is going to be played at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on the 4th of January 2021.
The Northern Knights are struggling with their batting in the tournament so far and that has been pretty apparent by looking at their scores. Tim Seifert made 74 in the previous match and led from the front but there was no one else that contributed.
We are surprised to see Anton Devcich bat low down the order, even though he is the captain, and hope that he will come up the order and take more responsibility in the upcoming matches.
With Dean Brownlie also in the lineup, the Knights have a pretty decent lineup. It is just about getting the players to play freely and to their capabilities.
The bowling lineup is highly dependent on Scott Kuggeleijn and he has been quite expensive in the matches so far. Zak Gibson bowled well and picked up three wickets but the entire unit needs to improve as a whole.
The Northern Knights are playing below their potential and are going to be a dangerous team to come across.
Katene Clarke, Tim Seifert, Dean Brownlie, Henry Cooper, Anton Devcich, Brett Hampton, Scott Kuggeleijn, FL Walker, Zak Gibson, Joe Walker, Matthew Fisher.
George Worker is in terrific form and scoring runs for fun at the top of the order. He made his second successive 70 plus total and helped his side post more than 220. It is easy to say that he is the big wicket that everyone is going to be after and that is a fact.
Josh Clarkson played an excellent hand down the order to help the Central Districts Stags win the previous match but there is more to look forward to from the others as well. Tom Bruce, Bayley Wiggins, and even Noema-Barnett can all score freely in T20 cricket.
In terms of the batting, the Central DIstricts are a close match for the Northern Knights but in better form.
The bowling is led by Doug Bracewell, Blair Tickner, Ajaz Patel, and Kieran Noema-Barnett. This is a strong bowling attack that is going to make life difficult for the Northern Knights. We think if the batting for the Central Stags can continue to fire then its bowling should be good enough to keep closing out games.
George Worker, Christian Leopard, Dane Cleaver, Josh Clarkson, Doug Bracewell, KN Barnett, Ben Smith, Joey Field, Ajaz Patel, Jayden Lennox, Blair Tickner.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. The pitch is not going to change at all and so teams will prefer to have a target in front of them.

The conditions in Hamilton are a bit gloomy. There are some rain and even some thunderstorms forecast for this match. We think there is a good chance that there is going to be some reduction in the number of overs and we may even have a washout.
The games become a lot closer when the overs get shortened and so this may be a good opportunity to take a punt. We recommend banking on one of Tim Seifert or Anton Devich to make a winning contribution in a rain-shortened match.
Bet on the Northern Knights to win.
