We have a top of the table clash to look forward to in the T20 Blast 2020 as Northamptonshire takes on Gloucestershire. The first match between these two teams was washed out. Both teams are in excellent form coming into this game. Northamptonshire has so far won all of its completed games while Gloucestershire has won its previous three.
This match could be pivotal in the race for qualifying spots in the long run.
Northamptonshire vs Gloucestershire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at the County Ground, Northampton on the 11th of September 2020.
Northamptonshire has been very good with its batting so far in the Blast and would love to continue in the same vein. Paul Stirling and Richard Levi have combined very well at the top of the order and have so far managed to provide the fast starts that teams look for.
Apart from those two, there have been some good performances by all the remaining batsmen in patches but on one that has played a massive inning.
Josh Cobb and Alex Wakely seem to be the two batsmen in the middle that are capable of making a big contribution.
A number of bowlers have done a very fine job in the tournament so far. Josh Cobb has been economical while White, Sanderson, and Buck have been able to get plenty of wickets.
It looks like Northampton has enough options to turn to if one of their bowlers is having a poor day.
Playing at home is something that Northampton enjoys and that can be seen as a slight advantage in this match as well.
Richard Levi, PR Stirling, Josh Cobb, Adam Rossington, Alex Wakely, Tom Sole, Gareth Berg, Luke Procter, Graeme White, Nathan Buck, Ben Sanderson.
It is a very good batting lineup that Gloucestershire is going to be bringing to Northampton, one that is certainly capable of matching what the home team has to offer. Leading the charge are Ian Cockbain, CJ Dent, Miles Hammond, and Ryan Higgins.
There is a lot of power in the lineup although it may not be as well distributed as it is in the Northamptonshire team.
We are looking at Cockbain and Dent to continue their excellent form in this match and make most of the wonderful batting conditions that you usually find in Northampton.
Among the bowlers, Tom Smith and Ryan Higgins have been the standout in the team so far. They both have nine wickets to their names and an excellent economy rate in the case of Smith to go with it.
If David Payne, Graeme van Buuren, and Matt Taylor can keep things tight, we think they may be able to expose some weaknesses in the Northamptonshire team.
Chris Dent, Miles Hammond, IA Cockbain, Ryan Higgins, James Bracey, Jack Taylor, GLV Buuren, George Scott, Tom Smith, MD Taylor, David Payne.
The previous two matches at this venue have been own by the team batting first and so that is something that the team that wins the toss may want to do.

Rain played spoilsport the first time these two teams were scheduled to play each other but thankfully the forecast is much better this time around. We should have a nice and sunny day for cricket that allows a full 20 over a side contest.
The pitch at Northampton is pretty good for batting. Scores of about 170 have been scored both of the times that matches have been played here so far. We think a score of around 165-175 would be the least that teams are aiming for batting first.
We think Gloucestershire has an excellent chance of pulling off an upset in this contest. They have the batting to match Northampton and the bowling to keep its batsmen under check. The conditions in Northampton should be to the liking of Gloucestershire so home advantage is not going to be a very big factor either.
Bet on Gloucestershire to win.
