Both teams playing this next match have lost their previous match. Northamptonshire and Worcestershire are going to be taking each other in this T20 Blast match where the objectives for the two teams are completely different.
Northamptonshire is chasing Gloucestershire at the top of the league standings while Worcestershire wants to move up from the very bottom. Also, Northamptonshire does not want to be the team to lose to Worcestershire when everyone is taking points from it. It is not good for its qualification chances.
Northamptonshire vs Worcestershire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at County Ground, Northampton on the 15th of September 2020.
We were worried about a potential batting collapse in the Northamptonshire team and that is exactly what happened in the previous match. They were bowled out for 98 and blown away in conditions that were not too difficult for batting.
Richard Levi and Paul Stirling have been the best batsmen for the Steelbacks so far. They are not the most consistent batsmen at the best of times and so it is a cause for concern when the other batsmen are not contributing.
To be honest, Northamptonshire has been able to get enough runs in most of its previous outings so we can hope for a better showing in this match as well.
Ben Sanderson, Nathan Buck, and Graeme White have been the best of the bowlers for Northamptonshire in this edition of the T20 Blast. They are steady without being overly threatening but have been doing the job so far.
Richard Levi, PR Stirling, Josh Cobb, Adam Rossington, Alex Wakely, Ricardo Vasconcelos, Saif Zaib, Graeme White, Nathan Buck, Ben Sanderson, Brandon Glover.
Just one win its name so far is not the result that Worcestershire would have imagined. It has a strong batting lineup on paper but has not been able to perform so far. Hamish Rutherford and Riki Wessels showed some glimpses of touch in the previous match, Jake Libby got runs, and Ben Cox smashed the ball around as well.
All of this was not enough to win the previous match against Birmingham but does promise some better things to come. We think this lineup could be just getting into its groove and be facing a vulnerable Northamptonshire team at the perfect time.
Charlie Morris has a happy knack of picking up early wickets and Patrick Brown is getting better in recent matches as well. Daryll Mitchell and Dillon Pennington round out a nice lineup for Worcestershire. Everyone knows that this team has potential and we think the signs are there that indicate a turnaround may be coming.
Hamish Rutherford, Jack Haynes, Jake Libby, Brett D Oliveira, Ben Cox, Ross Whiteley, Ed Barnard, Daryl Mitchell, Dillon Pennington, Patrick Brown, Charlie Morris.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first.

There is no rain predicted in Northampton on match day and so we should get a full, uninterrupted contest. The pitch is going to be flat and full of runs. We do not doubt that this is going to be a high-scoring match.
A score of around 180 can be considered par batting first.
We think Worcestershire has a great chance of winning this contest. Its batsmen are hitting form and the bowling attack is improving as well. It is also pretty under-valued by the bookmakers right now and could represent an excellent betting opportunity.
Bet on Worcestershire to win.
