NOT vs LAN Match Prediction - Jun 04, 2023

Nottinghamshire is having precisely an average season, as the team sits at 2-2 with some great efforts and questionable plays. Lancashire started out the season really well with three wins, but two losses in a row has made them drop to third on the North Group table.

Nottinghamshire vs. Lancashire will take place at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on June 4th. Keep checking these betting apps to ensure you have all the latest info.

NOT vs LAN Team Previews

Nottinghamshire

We anticipated Hales to be Nottinghamshire's best batter, but despite being second on the team with 130 runs, it's Kiwi Colin Munro who leads the pack with 135 runs. Hales (130) and Montgomery (126) aren’t far off the pace with scoring runs, demonstrating that this group does not have to depend on a single batter to secure the victory. This is useful if somebody needs to depart for overseas assignments or suffers an injury. Clarke was great in the BBL, so we’re interested to see if he shines in the UK’s T20 league.

Mullaney is beginning to shine as a bowler and has five wickets but has also given up 116 runs in order to acquire them. Brooks is the better bowler, with four wickets but just 51 runs in four overs. We’ll be truly impressed if Brooks can sustain a reliable bowling attack. Maintain a watchful eye on him as he continues to grow throughout the season.

Lancashire

It's clear why Lancashire continue to demonstrate why they were excellent to reach the Final last season, as they've been great in the T20 Blast season yet again. Batting across the order is fantastic, but the batting trio of Luke Wells (138), Daryl Mitchell (180), and Steven Croft (107) are unquestionably keeping the team in the fight for the championship.

Mitchell scored 85* in the win against Nottinghamshire, but more important, he and Wells have a strike rate of around 170.00, which may be hard to keep up all season but let’s hope they do. Phil Salt was an integral part of last year’s team with 390 runs, but as he’s on 78 runs right now, it’ll be interesting to discover if he picks up the pace.

We're still waiting for a truly outstanding bowler from the team, but we've been particularly pleased with fast bowler Luke Wood, who has eight wickets in four games. The 3/11 performance was great, but giving up 153 runs is less than ideal, as the ER of 8.05 should come down a little bit.

NOT vs LAN Toss Prediction

Any team winning the toss will likely bat first due to the conditions, as any captain choosing to bat first has won 34/58 times.

Pitch and Conditions

Trent Bridge is well known as a batting pitch and T20 games are incredibly high scoring lately. The surface is quite brown, flat, and doesn’t offer much in the way of bounce or swing, regardless of whether it’s a new ball. Batters can predict the bounce quite well and use the fast outfield to their advantage.

NOT vs LAN Betting Tips

Nottinghamshire has some good odds from 10Cric and we think that they’ve got the talent to knock over Lancashire. Moreover, Lancashire seem to be slipping lately and aren’t quite as unshakeable. Every player on the roster can have a breakout performance, especially Mitchell, but two straight losses are hard to ignore.

If Colin Munro can have a huge batting score, as well as notable assistance from Hales and Montgomery, then Nottinghamshire have a strong chance to win. They’ll need their bowlers to really limit easy shots and force the batters to make risky decisions, but Mullaney and Brooks can certainly do this.

Bet on Nottinghamshire to win.
